    So, the MinecraftParty servers have been out for a couple of weeks now, and it's obviously rather popular. One of the very first games in Party was 'Red Alert'. And while playing I noticed there is two separate ways you can go about trying to win this minigame. You can:
    • 1.) Constantly run around the playing field jumping from block to block
    Or you can:
    • 2.) Camp on certain blocks that are not near detonation point yet, then hop to another when it nears detonation
    So, which is the technique you use most often? And why do you prefer this technique? Or if you can possibly think of another way of going about it, don't be afraid about posting it!

    Option 2 for me :grinning:

    (But I never win so I don't say option 2 is better :stuck_out_tongue:)

    Personally, I prefer option 1 myself, just because sometimes I think it can be unreliable the time it takes from blocks to detonate quickly/slowly.

    I prefer using option 2 because I have noticed that some blocks turn red much more quickly than others rendering option 1 kinda useless because you could be jumping to a white block and all of a sudden it goes immediately to red and explode. Its happened before and it is frustrating. I think staying on the white blocks until they turn orange and moving onto the next is the best strategy for me.

    Option 2 because chunk rendering can have some problems in Red Alert.

    My strat is somewhat like option two because I just either crouch or walk slowly but unless there are like 10 blocks left i don't just wait there

    I use both first number 2 and then when there is not lots of blocks left number 1

    Option 2 isn't very good considering they put a system in so you cant camp blocks. Anyway is works basically as every 2 seconds the 2x2 square you're on will get one tick closer so you cant stand on the same block. Also on-topic I use option 1.

    Yeah, I've jumped to an orange and it just disappeared, so I kind of camp and run at the same time(running more near the end and shift-walking from start to mid game).

    I normally use the second option for the start of the game an move on to the first one.

    I always make it to top 7 but then I die :frowning: I just hop from block to block as fast as I can, and try not to get stuck.

    I just find a white wool, and hop up and down on it until it turns yellow, then move on and find another white wool. Actually works VERY well.
