Important Note / I have been given personal permission from the Senior Moderator Cuddled to apply early from my last application, and I have also been given the privilege to recycle my old application from the last time I applied. I have edited a few fields, which I have put an ASTERISK* next to.

My urgency and eagerness to re-apply comes mainly from my desire to stop as many hackers as I possibly can and I believe becoming a Junior Moderator is the step in the right direction. I want to help out Brawl as much as possible, and I believe I can make the HG Staff Team stronger than it already is.

    Brawl Moderator Application:

I'd like to thank whoever decides to read this application for considering me, if you have any opinions or constructive criticisms please feel free to private message me or post on my account so we can discuss it.

Have you read over this thread? -
Yes, I have thoroughly read through this thread multiple times.

What is your in-game name? -
My in-game name is currently Rytheria and I currently hold the VIP rank.

Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. -
Yes, I was previously known as kingdion from late 2010 - 2015 until I decided to change to Rytheria to change things up a bit.

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? -
No, there is nobody with my account credentials.

    How old are you? -
I was born in the year 2000, therefore I am currently 15 years of age.

What time zone are you in? -
    GMT+/--10:00 (Australia)

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? -
Yes I am multilingual, however my additional language is quite unorthodox. I speak both English and Croatian. I also know the essentials of French yet I am not fluent, so I don't consider it an additional language.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? -

Oh boy, I could go on for a while with this, I'll keep it as summarised as possible..

Yet I'll start from the beginning. I started initially playing Minecraft in 2010 when a friend of mine was showing me the game, at first, I didn't really like it because the classic servers we used to play on weren't very good. I then began playing on some interesting game modes on the classic servers, and I began to enjoy it thoroughly. Back then, I never owned premium minecraft and I didn't end up owning premium until the end of 2011 (that's a whole year of classic minecraft, whoa). I'd like to say that all this classic experience gives me a lot of experience on what communities are like within minecraft, how they operate and how to run them efficiently or inefficiently. Though I was only young when I began playing classic, I started to get the hang of how the game ran and how players talked to each other, etc.

Moving onward; my experience became insanely more immersive when I purchased the game nearing the end of 2011. I joined a variety of different SMP communities & game-mode communities (although, through 2011 the game modes were very basic and complex ones didn't start really coming in until 2012). I played and played for hours on end, testing new red stone contraptions, getting into the game, learning how everything works and to top up that experience - my knowledge on how communities and people grew stronger. I eventually stopped playing those servers because I began to lose interest, I resigned from my multiple staff ranks and decided to look for new servers. Since my knowledge of the game was so complex, I had to find something different and unique to the stuff I've been playing to change things up. I had just watched the Hunger Games in the theatres at the start of 2012 and I had fell in love with the concept, it only took me perhaps one day to search up a Minecraft server for it and bam; MCPVP!

I'll try to keep this short, because I can see this is already starting to grow in length and I don't intend for it to go over 3-4 paragraphs. Moving onward, once I found the Hunger Games (or Hardcore Games, as it is now) I honestly didn't find it that enjoyable because I didn't understand how it worked, it took my a couple games to get into the groove of things until I finally realised it was actually really, really fun. Now I know the whole "I fell in love with it" sounds really clichè, but it's true - I fell in love with how the game was made, with everything from the kits, to the killing, to the feasts, etc. I've been playing the Hunger Games (hardcore games) since early 2012 (of course, taking breaks every now and then) yet I've been avidly experiencing it ever since. I quickly learnt how the community operated and I began joining the main streams frequently and was playing on a day to day basis. I accumulated around 4000 games since I last checked on the Hardcore Games (mcpvp stats) and I've played with a variety of different kits. I've seen the game change since then, I've gone through all the different kit changes and all the different updates and massive game changers that MCPVP introduced. I went through the good, the bad and the decent. I can definitely say I've got a lot of experience in my time, and I haven't even covered my entire experience in this thread. If anybody wants, I can elaborate further but I think this gives you a fairly thorough understanding of how much experience I have with the game and the communities that run within it.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? -
I've had a very, very vast experience in moderating minecraft servers considering the amount of time I've been playing Minecraft. I'll list the ones that I can remember. I don't remember exact dates that I staffed any of these servers, so they aren't in any particular order.

    CLASSIC
    - Blocktopia Zombie Survival (mod)
    - Blocktopia Lava Survival (mod)
    - Blocktopia Build Server (mod)
    - Blocktopia TNT Wars (mod)
    - Caznowl Zombie Survival (global controller)
    - Caznowl Lava Survival (server-director)
    - Caznowl Build Server (global controller)
    - Heaven and Hell build server (mod+)
    - Blacked Out Build (mod+)
    - TheOne's Zombie Survival (mod)

    PREMIUM
    - Caznowl SMP (co-director)
    - Caznowl FFA (mod)
    - Blocktopia SMP (mod)
    - Rennervated Gaming (mod+, architect)
    - PotterworldMC (professor / mod - graphic designer - youtube manager)
    - My Own Server (down now, yet received a 20-30 player average)
    - Pokeballers (gym leader/mod)
    - LightPVP (mod+)

(and a couple others I'm having trouble remembering)
Proof can be found in my previous application, and if you have any concerns contact me so I can sort them out.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? -
Well honestly I'd like to say that I can provide experience. This is my main selling point, I offer to provide my experience on and off the minecraft field in staffing and upholding a community. Because of my extensive knowledge of Minecraft in general & MCPVP specifically (HG), I can probably answer a lot of questions and make well judged decisions which a regular, new staff member would not have the experience to do. I also have (as mentioned above) experienced all the ups and downs that old MCPVP used to introduce, I've seen the server grow since it first began and I believe I can use my experience and knowledge in it's growth to better advise Brawl on which way or steps they should take to keep the community flowing. I can also offer my skills in catching hackers and my notable knowledge in Minecraft commands to help keep Brawl rule-abiding and enjoyable to play. I want to make a footprint in the community, I want to make it a better place and I think that this is my first step in doing so.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - Yes I have used hacked clients before, however, not for the reason you'll think. I installed a variety of different hacked clients to test how they work in different situations on my private minecraft server. Basically, I was using it as a test feature to better understand how they work. I have never used it on a competitive minecraft server and never will.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? -
I've had my fair share of getting banned in classic servers, I'm not going to lie and say I haven't. Yet those were mainly for reasons such as griefing (which wasn't taken lightly back then and I was still very young). However, I have not yet been banned from any Premium servers that I can recall.

What do you consider your greatest strength? -
I believe my greatest strengths would revolve around obviously my experience (which is what I've been talking about for most of this application) yet also around my light-headedness and strict ability to keep people in control without becoming angry or performing irrational actions. I consider myself to be a very light-headed person where I can notable keep calm and continue to staff no matter the situation. I believe this is a great strength as it allows me to keep civilised conversation with anybody I come across, and it allows me to get my point across quite effectively.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -
I'd say my greatest weakness is breaking my comfort barrier when it comes to verbal communication. I occasionally find myself uncomfortable when I'm faced talking verbally with people I'm not yet accustomed to, however my recent TS time has definitely improved my communication. I have constantly been improving in this, and there's only one way for me to go; and that's up!

    * How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? -
I feel like I have dramatically improved my activity in all three suggested fields since my previous application. In-game, I consider myself to be quite an active player, playing daily I can definitely see myself as one of the more actively contributing players on the server as I spend hours upon hours playing the gamemode. Looking at the forums side of things, I’d also like to say that I’m quite an active forum-dweller as I joined in the ending stages of May and I have accumulated up to roughly 300 posts with around a third of that in positive ratings, meaning that they aren’t worthless posts. Upon this, I browse the forums on a daily basis and I generally monitor the Hardcore Games sections (including bug reports). Looking at my activity on TS I can definitely say I’ve improved tenfold since my previous application, I am idle on the TS server as much as I can be incase I am required on teamspeak whether that be in the HG or AFK room and I am generally easy to contact. Ontop of being idle, I spend copious amounts of time actively communicating and helping in mainly public rooms, such as the Hardcore Games room (the main room I visit). I feel like I’ve made a lot of new friends in my TS experience, and my activity only gets higher and higher!

    * Which Brawl servers are you most active on? -
My most active server would easily revolve around the Hardcore Games, I spend most of the spare time I have playing it and it is my go-to for games. I also enjoy Survival PVP when it’s up, however the Hardcore Games is my most active server. (I do occasionally hop on every other Brawl server from time to time, yet not as much as the two above)

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? -
I can provide perhaps 3-5 hours per day, depending on the day. Upon this, I am nearing school break where I will be able to provide a bucketload more of this time. However, on regulary timetables I can spend perhaps 1 hour in my morning time and approximately 4 hours after my schooling hours, depending on what I've got going on during the day.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? -
This answer would really depend on the offence and the severity of which the offence is broadcasted on the server. I would personally refer back to the official server rules thread (https://www.brawl.com/threads/3311/) and would link the player making the offence to the thread, so they are aware of the rules. If said offence continues to happen I will take the appropriate precautions to stopping said rule breaker (whether that be recording and reporting, warning, muting or kicking).

I would use my common sense and maturity to deal with the severity of the problem, and if I am unaware of what to do in said situation I would contact a colleague to assist me.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? -
Again, it depends on the offence broadcasted.

I would personally refer back to the forum rules thread (https://www.brawl.com/threads/40/) and depending on the the offence I would give warning points to match the offence. If however the offence seems to be too severe in my personal opinion, I would contact a Senior Moderator to inspect it and apply warning they see necessary.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? -
This answer, like the others really depends on the offence that is being broadcasted over the teamspeak.

If I find the offence fairly bad (perhaps their IGN is different), I would firstly warn the player of the standards we have in our teamspeak and that if they do not abide them they can risk expulsion. If my warn is not acknowledged then I will take further actions in exerting punishment, potentially kicking or (1hr) banning said member in a private channel or chat. If the offence is worse than this (perhaps NSFW images, being extremely obnoxious, voice changers/bg music), I would keep the same type of warn/kick/ban routine yet I would warn them with more severity and urgency to ensure that it doesn’t annoy the room that they are in. If anything, I would probably resort to warning and kicking at the same time if I consider the offence bad enough to get my point across to the defendant.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? - This is a very odd situation and is quite a tricky one to solve, clearly, a game-breaking economical glitch is definitely not something we'd want - especially considering there is no admin online. My first move would be to keep the glitch as quiet as possible, we don't want to raise awareness for it because then obviously there will be more people trying to exploit it. I'd make sure that it keeps quiet for along as possible until I can get somebody to assist me, by potentially muting players and monitoring the servers. I would broadcast the glitch into a staff chat, or in an attempt to reach my colleagues. I would also message an admin of the glitch so they are aware for when they can get back online, they can assist in fixing it.

I don't exactly enjoy answering situations/scenarios because they aren't particularly specific, so, if for example the situation was that everybody knew about the glitch then I would take different precautions. I'd still contact my colleagues, etc so they are all aware - because if the glitch is that huge I'll need all the help I could get. I'd personally try to go around answering as many questions but I'd make it clear that abusing or exploiting said glitch is a bannable offence and will not be treated lightly. I would attempt to keep the crowd calm and try to remain responsive to answer any questions until an admin comes on.

Again, scenarios are difficult to answer because they aren't specific and it doesn't give me all the information I want - so there are many possibilities.

    * How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - I have submitted a total of 1 Brawl Staff Applications.

    * What is the date of the last application you submitted? - June 21, 2015, however I have been given personal permission from the Senior Moderator Cuddled to apply early from my last application, and I have also been given the privilege to recycle my old application from the last time I applied.

    * Do you have a working microphone? - Yes, I have a Blue Yeti microphone however it seems oddly unreliable from time to time. Because of this unreliability I have made sure I have a backup, therefore I have my iPhone with the TS3 app which I can use for communication incase my Blue Yeti decides to screw up. This app also has surprisingly good connection and microphone quality, which therefore makes it efficient for communication.

Are you able to record and upload videos? - Yes, I have a computer which is capable of running a recording software at a fairly high FPS.

    * Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? - Considering my experience in staffing in the field in many different communities, I believe that I can adapt quickly to the staff member commands incase there are any new unique commands that I have never used. However, looking at the thread about Staff Ranks (https://www.brawl.com/threads/40891/), I am very flexible and well adapted with the commands that the Junior Moderator/Trial Moderator is given and I can execute them effectively in ingame, forum and teamspeak environments.

Anything else we should know about you? - There's honestly not much else I should really share, I play football (soccer) in my spare time, I play the guitar quite often - I like writing novels, and perhaps writing in general. Alongside this, Minecraft is a great hobby of mine.
