A bunch of balance suggestions

    Hi there, I want to post you a suggestion that would make war WAYYY more balanced, and would make people start using automatic weapons, as well as another suggestion that would make infection more fair, and another one which will make shotguns other than model 1887 stop sucking so much (^_^), and one small thing about balance again.
    First suggestion (automatics): Although this one will not basically change assault rifles and any other automatics, but it will make people use them just as much as snipers. The point is the removal of knockback and damage speed limit. Both birds can be killed with one stone: The best way to remove knockback and damage speed limit (in vanilla minecraft, you can only take damage 2 times per second assuming you are not constantly regenerating, while a gun can shoot way faster) is making weapons edit one's health rather than damaging one. Doing damage is something else than editing health, and the second one can damage at a higher speed and without knockback.
    Second suggestion (infection): Make the scavenger perk incompatible with infection, so that ray-gunners (and basically all survivors) will no longer be able to shoot forever. Simple as that. Survivors are meant to need to spend their ammo carefully, rather than just recklessly ray (or mini) gunning everything they see.
    Third suggestion (shotguns): Increase the damage of all shotguns except for typhoid and model 1887, while the model should do less damage but have better range and accuracy (lower buckshot spread!).
    Fourth small suggestion (magnum): Pitch up its damage to 50 or 55, so that its low clip size and accuracy will be made up for with damage enough to kill in 2 shots.
    I hope that at least a part of my suggestions will be implemented in some way, and see you on mc-war killing each other with magnums, assaults, and shotguns!

    Holy jesums how did no one think of the second suggestion.
    It's great
    The shotgun one is also good
    The magnum, however, is less so. The magnum can already oneshot headshot, so I don't think a buff is necessary.
    I'm not sure how the first would work, but if it can work I'm all for it.

    Baa, there is also one more way to remove the damage speed limit, but the other one can cause terrible lag if the server machine is insufficient. This method works like this: If someone shoots me once and then does not make a shot in at least half a second, everything will happen as normal. But if the server finds out that a projectile will hit me in let's say less than 0.1 seconds, i recieve very short, powerful regeneration so that i regain half a heart, while the incoming bullet will make extra damage (to make up for the regenerated half heart). Sadly, this method is not so versatile, can waste up a lot of the server machine (the server must calculate whether the bullet is going to hit me in a very short time before the hit), and it will require a separate system to deal with knockback. Also, i think that the knockback for slower but more powerful weapons does not need to be removed, the problem only happens with automatics, because if someone fires onto you with an automatic, the knockback can make you fly several blocks in the air. The fact that it can sometimes get you out of the map is another reason for knockback removal, as well as the fact that at least i don't know of a game where you recieve so big knockback from non-explosives.

    disagree with all these ideas. Sorry. If the shotgun one was to be made, then basically the higher ranked ones would be worse than the lower ranked ones. For the infect one, the ray has so little ammo, so yeah. The rest just no.

    Suggestion one: You disagree with it? How can it be? I guess MC-War is the only shooter you played, i played/saw let's plays of a huge amount of shooters and none of them makes you recieve knockback from non-explosives, as well as none of them has anything like a damage speed limit.
    Suggestion 2: Although the ray has little ammo, look at the fact that many of the game's weapons barely manage to get 5 kills on 64 ammo even without the ray-gunners stealing your kills. Ray is INCREDIBLY op here since you can fairly easily get 16 kills on the 16 shots, and both the bullet speed and explosion radius makes it barely require any skill to win, especially on infection with scavenger. Plus, the scavenger perk does not need to be incompatible with ALL weapons, you can leave it usable with such things as certain assault rifles and SMGs.
    Suggestion 3: I bet you never played with a shotgun that is higher level than the model 1887, not even on gungame, since the model is the only enough good gun in the category, but it is really op.
    Suggestion 4: Yeah, the magnum can already oneshot headshot so a buff is not so important for it.

    Sebatobi you're failing to see it from a donor's pov. Why would you buy scavenger in the first place? To make up with the LACK of ammo that's present in the gun(s) that you're using. Eliminating that makes it so that every person uses iso in every infect. 64 shots all being a one shot bullet. I think ray is nice and scavenger is a life saver on any game mode, but removing something I've paid for? That's out of the question. How experienced are you with war? I'm personally interested in knowing how long you've played mc-war, as you seem to not know much about it.

    @down, BiomeBuster. Look at the stats pages. I already have played war for half a year, and i already know something here. You look like some regular dude who does everything ONLY FOR HIS OWN advantage.

    I've only just made my forum account after playing on brawl for 2+ years (probably 3-4+, but whatever). Once again, this goes back to you and your lack of understanding. I'm in no way insulting you, I'm just saying that it appears you don't quite know what you're getting at. I'm not doing this for my own advantage; many players have donated for scavenger/ray/mini to use them on certain gamemodes (except for scav since that's universal). If you're still going to try to prove a point here, I'm sorry but you just don't quite understand war all that much and you'll make yourself look bad. Some nice suggestions though!
