Any actions you guys take in this thread is not my responsibility. This is a secured way of getting the operating system but if you come accross any issues you are to blame.

Hello everyone! Windows 10 just became officially released and it's awesome! However some people who wanted to upgrade couldn't auto upgrade cause they didn't have the icon. I'm creating this tutorial to help you guys in succeeding in downloading and installing it.

    Before you Download (Important)
    1. Check if your PC is capable of handling it. To check if your system is capable of running Windows 10 check here
    2. Make sure you have your computer available for some time, as the process will take anywhere between an hour long to more (normally will take an hour if there are no issues, but I suggest having 2-3 hours of spare time on your PC).
    3. Back up your information. Windows will still give you the option to keep all your applications and files with the only difference being the operating system, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Use either and external HDD or a USB (or DVD). (This Option isn't necessary if you want to wipe clean your disk.)

    Downloading and Installing

This is where the fun part starts! If your PC is compatible with windows 10 then you're all set.
You start off by going to this page. It will roughly say what I've written here. Scroll down till you find this
    upload_2015-7-30_9-41-33.png
This is where you check what version your PC can support. If you have 4+ GB RAM, then you can go for the 64-bit Version, but if you have 3 or lower you're stuck to using the 32-bit version. This doesn't exclude any features, only performance.
Download the tool from one of the link by deciding which one you would like.

Once you've installed the tool, open it and you will get something like this
    [IMG]

Here is where decision comes in. I personally couldn't install it on my PC directly but had to install it on a bootable USB drive. For this you will need no more than 4GB available on a USB or DVD. Proceed through the installation guide, and eventually if you do run accross Windows asking you for a Product Key, don't worry! You can search for "KMS Key Windows 10". This is basically a functioning key but will not activate properly. You will be limited to personalizing features but other than that everything else is functioning.

If you've gone through all the steps correctly, sit back and relax while it waits to install. Your PC will restart around 3 times to get the OS ready for your PC.

    Enjoy Windows 10!

The next step is realizing windows 10 is crap, and using a restore point.

In all srs tho, don't do it. My sister did it on my private computer with nobody's permission, I lost my entire minecraft directory to it. I had to wait the entire day to restore my things.

minecraft.exe even became a blank file

I never downloaded windows10, I'm not sure it's that bad, but being said you hate it. I probably won't get it.
