Strange Dirt Rim Around my Map

    Hi there, I have a question about a giant square or dirt around one of my maps. It is 4 blocks tall and sits around 60 above the base of my map. This was a map that I had generated when the server was owned by McPVP if that means anything. Here are screenshots of this occurrence

    I am 100% positive that I did not make this, and I would just like it removed so I don't have to worry about it.

    This hasn't happened to me before. But through teleporting to other players, I've seen some maps with this. Hope it gets fixed. But, can't you just use World Edit to clear it?

    You're right, I probably could. I'm more interested to see why this happened and to see if it can be fixed in the long run.

    When did you create this map? If it was when we first launched, new maps would be just a basic superflat world. A while after, the "flatland world" was changed into dirt that is higher above Y=0. The dirt area is the chunks that were never loaded in before the changes were made. The new chunks turn into the new "flatland" setting.
