Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? –

No one else has access to my Minecraft account. I have a password on my computer and my Minecraft is hidden away in the depths of my files, so my little brother doesn’t find it.


How old are you? – 16, born June 18th 1999


What time zone are you in? – Eastern Standard Time (UTC -05:00)


Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? –
No, I speak English, but I take Italian 2. I don’t know enough to speak fluently or hold deep conversations in Italian, sadly.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? –
Back when I was in Middle School, my friend showed me this game called Minecraft. He gave me his account details, and let me play. This was before beds, so about 1.2 Beta. I remember playing on our Vanilla server together in survival, and I really had fun.

My first experience with a server was TurtleCraft which was a small server on average ran about 100 people, and we managed to build the biggest, most powerful faction on the server. This is when I discovered how much fun a server could be so I played on tons of small servers.

My first experience with Brawl was in December 2014 (Yes, I’m newer ) When I played on my friends account, and I played FpsHG and WarZ. I didn’t really like playing them because I was terrible, so I stopped playing after a month. Then I started playing on more popular servers like The Hive, and I had so much fun I wanted to play more than just at my friend’s house. Then in about January I finally bought myself a laptop, and I played on my own account and on larger servers. After a while I decided to play Brawl again because I got frustrated. Then I found that there were a bunch of new servers like Minestrike, Skywars, and Survival Games. At first all I would play was Skywars, and then a friend said hey let’s play Sg. Playing Sg was the most fun I’ve ever had in Minecraft. The community was amazing, and they really helped me understand the game.



Now I have the most kills and the 2nd most wins. I also rank #3 in amount of Sg’s played with 2,141


What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? –
I’ve only moderated 2 servers and none in the past year. Also neither was really that big.

MuffinCraft:
MuffinCraft was a moderately sized server back in the day that ran about 50-100 people on average. I played the server for about 2 years and throughout the time I had become the most active member. The owner Jvskullcrusher1 asked me to help him build a new spawn and while I building he afked and vanished. After I was done I waited patiently for him to return and he told me that I didn’t abuse anything and was trustworthy. Then he granted me Trial Mod. After being granted Trial Mod I worked my way up to Admin, where I stayed until it shut down.

LlamaCraft:
LlamaCraft (stupidly named) was my friend’s server that I helped him build and moderate. It ran 20-30 people and wasn’t that big. It lasted about 5 months, until he shut it down.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? –
I plan to help new players understand Brawl and its game modes. I would try to make sure they have fun and enjoy their stay. I would also try to assist players with flamers, hackers, spammers, and anything else that might hurt someone’s experience at Brawl. Lastly I would get rid of as many hackers as humanly possible. They make playing Brawl less fun, and it’s just not fair.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? –
No I have never used a hacked client before and I never will. Playing Sg I find so many hackers, and they are the bane of my existence. I find hacking is unfair, selfish, and just plain stupid.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why?
Sadly yes. I have never been permanently banned on a server, but I was once temp banned on The Hive. I was temp-banned on The Hive for protecting a Traitor in Trouble in MineVille. The player has tested and the rest of the players said that they were the traitor. Then the people attacked us and I died and later learned that the player was a traitor.

What do you consider your greatest strength? –
I feel my greatest strength would be my friendliness. There are a lot of flamers, especially in Sg, and I’ve learned over my time to just kill people with kindness. I managed to make friends out of enemies. I’ve learned to adapt to how people treat other people. Whereas things might affect me personally. I never let my personal feelings show in my Minecraft life.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? –
My greatest weakness is probably my shyness. Now this is my biggest probably in applying because when I join Ts3 channels. I often find myself accidentally butting into people’s conversations or just being too shy to actually talk to new people. I’ve been working on this and branching out more in Ts3, talking to more people, talking more in conversations, and learning when to join Ts3 when people are actually on.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? –
I consider myself one of the most active people on Brawl. I’ve played over 2,000 games of Sg in the span of about 5 months. That’s 400 Sg Games a month. Also I’ve played a lot more than just Sg. I’m always online in the afternoon-evening because I normally have plans with family/ friends during the day.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on? –
Survival Games:
Survival Games is my main game mode. I play Sg more than any other game. I love Sg and plan to do my best moderating it.

Minecraft Build:
I started playing Build when Sg went down and it’s been my temporary main game until Sg comes back. I’ve filled up a good amount of my world already, and it’s only been a couple weeks.

Party:


I’m also very active on Party. Whenever I get frustrated with Sg I come to Party.

Hardcore Games:
Ever since its introduction to Brawl I’ve played quite a bit of Hg (Even the first Hg Event). I play a lot with friends, and when I feel like challenging myself.

Survival PvP:
Survival PvP was my original main game mode. I played and had a team of about 11 and we raided, mined, and had loads of fun. I’ve since revived my PvP base, but I’m not always on since it’s not a big Priority for me.

War/ Skywars:
I play War whenever my friends ask me to come play with them. I’m not very active, but I do play it occasionally. I just 30+! Same with War, I play Skywars when my friends ask me to play. I intend to play it a lot more when Skywars 2.0 comes out with 12 people and the custom maps!

Sadly I don’t play on WarZ, Creative (Anymore), Minestrike, or CTF. I am very willing to go if requested or if my assistance is needed.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? –
Weekdays + School:
I can offer about 2-3 hours a day after school at around 5:00pm-8:00pm (UTC -5)

Weekdays + No School:
This is when I’ll be most active. I can offer about 4-6 hours on Brawl from about 2:00pm-8:00pm.

Weekends:
On weekends I can offer about 3-4 hours a day. This ranges from about 4:00pm-8:00pm. Normally I have things to do during the day, but I always keep a tab open for the forums, so just shoot me a message and I’ll check it out as soon as I can.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? –
If a player is:

Hacking: I would record the hacker with Fraps, and then report them via the forums. Then I would inform a Mod+ that there is a hacker in game.

Glitching: I would tell the abuser that what they are doing isn’t allowed. If they continued to abuse the glitch I would /kick the abuser. If I see them abusing the glitch again I will /kick them for the appropriate amount of time, which all depends on the glitch.

Spamming/ Flaming: Tell the spammer/ flamer to stop spamming/ flaming. If they continue I’d mute for a short amount of time. Then I’d continue to watch the offender, and give them a 10 minute ban if they continue. Now if they continue to break the rules I’d make the mute longer and longer. Then Prune the chat.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? –
Spamming/ Flaming/ Random Posts: Edit or remove the post then I’d PM the player and give them reasons that I edited/ removed their posts.

Wrong Section: I’d move the post to its proper section. If the post was just irrelevant I would delete it or move it to Off Topic.

Duplicate Thread: Lock the post and tell them why I locked it.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? –
Different Name: Tell the player to change it to their Minecraft Name. If they refuse I’d go to the Rules Channel and tell them again. If they still don’t listen I’ll kick them for an appropriate amount of time.

Voice Changer/ Screaming: Warn them to disable the Changer or to stop the screaming. If they continue I’ll go to The Rules Channel with them and warn them again. If they continue I’d mute them.

Obnoxious Background Noise: Force the player to use Push to Talk

Flame: If a person is flaming I’d explain to them that flaming is not tolerated. If they continue I’d go into the Rules Channel with them and warn them one last time. If I see the player flaming again I’ll mute/ban them depending on the flame.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? –
I would log on to the server whatever it is and inform everyone playing that if they abuse the glitch I will /kick them for an hour. I would stand by and watch players, watching for abusers. While watching I would inform any and all staff members via forum message/ Skype message/ Ts3 message. Keep track of people that abused the glitch so that their stats can be reset since before the glitch occurred and finally make sure that the glitch gets fixed!

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? – I’ve never made a staff application

Do you have a working microphone? –
I use my phone for everything such as Skype, Ts3, and I can even upload recordings of my voice for YouTube videos if I so desired.

Are you able to record and upload videos? – Yes, I record all videos using Fraps. It has good quality, good audio, and overall makes for good videos.


Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? – Yes, I’ve read so much about staff commands. ./mute ./kick ./prune


Anything else we should know about you? – I’m Zack and I feel like I would be such an amazing addition to the Brawl Staff Team. There’s virtually no Mods on Sg, and I would be very active and very helpful. I hate my cat, I complain about him all the time. I love playing with my friends. I feel that I’m as ready to post this application. I know I have a relatively low forum count (only 260), but I’ve only been on the forums about 4 months, and over the past 2 weeks I’ve been improving my Ts3 activity more and more. I don’t expect this to be my last application, so please all feedback is welcomed. I hope you consider me =D! Also feel free to give me feedback on my profile page ;D
