I know i posted a topic on this but it was posted over 3 months ago and due to the nature of mcpvp's move no one batted an eye at it. Now that things have settled i wanna repost it and get some feedback.

Okay this is a gamemode i decided that might make a good fit in MC. The gamemode was created for halo reach as a game for those who disliked ctf but still wanted a good capture style game that was tons of fun for all those who wanted a good tight teamwork game that greatly promoted coordination and real skill in strategy to survive. Invasion is a game in which you must capture 3 node sets in order to advance through the map and make it to the final objective. The final objective is a object you must then capture then escort back to the offensive teams extraction point to win a round. Then the teams switch using that format till one team emerges victorious. There are several kinds of classes each team has their own set and is designed to further either offense or defenses ability to advance or deny in game as you advance farther you unlock new classes to play with!

Gameplay: there are several note worthy features that must be explained.

Timers: this game is based entirely off how fast and efficient your team can work together to conquer the nodes. With each node set you advance through you have 3:00 minutes to capture that node set. The timer will reset after each captured node set. However if you run out of time and fail to capture any nodes the game automatically ends in defeat for the offensive team. Each node set has a timer of 20 seconds at the start. The timer does not reset if you knock seconds off of it unless the following condition is met. If you drop below 7 seconds on the timer and you successfully prevent the node from being captured. the timer with automatically increase back to 7 seconds but no higher.

Nodes: the nodes are 2 points that stand next to each other that must be captured in order to advance. Each node set is known as alpha or bravo nodes. In order to initiate the capture process you must stand within a certain distance of said node in a specially marked area. When you begin to capture the node a timer will count down (having more players than one in the node capture area does not increase how fast the timer counts down) from 20 seconds to 0. When just one node either alpha or bravo the barrier preventing your advance will fall allowing you to continue through the game. when you advance to the final node you must then use one player as an escort. When you begin the escort process the player will be denied the ability to use weapons for the duration of carrying the objective to its drop location and will be inflicted with a debuff to hamper their progress.

Final Objective: the final object is an object of extreme value to the defending team. You cannot allow this object to be captured and carried off by the enemy team. As the carrier is making off with your objective how ever not all hope is lost. Keep in mind the object that is being carrier debuffs them and if they drop it you can stand over the object for 10 seconds or let it sit for 15 seconds and it will reset back to its original point.

Classes and using them: Each team starts of with team specific classes. Offense and defense however will never have more available classes then each other. When you begin the game each team starts with 2 classes. as each node falls the number increases in sequence from 2-3-5 at the end both teams will have 5 classes to choose and each has its own special abilities to assist the team. Class switching is simple. In the event you capture a node and open up a new class to use. You must either commit suicide to get to choose the new class. OR you must die in battle and respawn at the predetermined location for spawn.

Win conditions: In order to win the game the following conditions must be met
Your team must have more rounds won. ex 2-1 or 3-0 No ties allowed obviously.
In order to win a round you must either :capture all the nodes as offense and successfully escort the object to its drop zone for extraction.
As defense you must successfully prevent either all the nodes from every being captures or simply stall out the team till the timer depletes at any given point during the game

Credit for the original gamemode on halo reach goes to the makers of halo Bungie and 343 Industries

This is a Initial draft of the game i am open to ideas and suggestions to improve how the game looks and it would be much appreciated if you gave your input

I honestly believe that this is fantastic idea! Invasion is a great game mode and could really boost the popularity in Brawl's servers. Excellent idea! :finger:

I was just thinking the other day that Brawl needs an Alien invasion game.

Your thoughts are very well laid out. I really like your ideas.
