Soup servers in hardcore games

    My vote goes to making all six of the hardcore games servers into into soup only. I feel you guys have a large enough player base from mcpvp to do so and I think it would strongly benefit you guys. The very long wait periods for soup servers will slowly kill of the soup players. Personal opinion.

    If there are enough players the time can be shortened. Let's say each match has average 100 players, then the time can be shortened to have 2 games of 50.

    I disagree because newcomers most likely do not know how to soup, so the no soup servers are an easy transition. :smile:

    soup is a whole new gamemode for new players to come in and learn. the kit balances allows for new players to come in and learn as best as possible.

    They're going to adjust the times/rotations based on the amount of players, player retention, etc. The stats should give brawl a good idea of what direction to head while HG is still in beta!

    Personally I know many people who prefer playing no soup and love it. I think killing off one of the modes would just alienate much of HG's player base and wouldn't be very good for the game mode.

    As for the wait times, I don't find them too bad. The only way to solve this would be add more servers but there aren't a whole lot of players to sustain that.

    I totally agree there should be more soup servers, I just don't know how nosoup players would react. Maybe if they temporarily made all servers soup just to see in what way HG's popularity would be effected, brawl could make the best decision for HG.

    I realy like soup server... but not everyone likes it! But since soup servers got more players, i think that it will be a good idea to get 4 or 6 servers in total, not just 3! :smile:

    The wait times average around 8 minutes, so it's not even that long. Further more the player base is nowhere near close enough to expand the servers. They are intended to have 120 players and currently on a good day at peak time we see 70-80. Adding more server will only serve to thin out the players per game.

    The selfish pat of me wants to eliminate no-soup and replace it with soup, but the intelligent part of me says we should keep it because most new players play no-soup.

    There is no need to eliminate no-soup, just to substitute some of those with soup servers! ( i played directly on soup and learned it by myself ...!)
