Wgeurts Introduces Forum Mafia (Also Known as Town of Salem or Werewolves)
"In the peaceful Sicilian village of Salem, a dark presence is about to make itself known. For years, the family based crime organization known as the Mafia has been establishing itself in the foundation of the community. Until now, the naive citizens have been unaware of the evil among them. Tonight, however, the Mafia makes its move. Tonight, someone will die, and until the Mafia has eliminated all opposition, the innocent will continue to die. Unless, of course, the Mafia is destroyed first..."

What is Mafia?
Mafia is a game of skill, betrayal, manipulation and cunning. It basically consists of two teams: the "Town" who are trying to kill all the "Mafia", and the Mafia who are trying to kill all the Town. The Town consists of a larger number than the Mafia, however only the Mafia know who the other Mafia are (Town don't know who the other Town are). Meaning that it's the Town's job to figure out who the Mafia are and get them lynched.

The game is divided into 2 phases; a Day Phase and a Night Phase. During the day all players can discuss and vote one another, once a majority is reached that player is lynched and his alignment is revealed. Then the sun sets and it becomes night...
During the night the Mafia get to pick one person to kill from the Town. Further more the town have two special "Power Roles":
A Doctor that chooses one person to protect each night, thus preventing that person from dying if the Mafia pick the same player.
And a Cop, that chooses one person to investigate each night, therefore finding out who their target is aligned with. The Cop however can't be protected by the Doctor meaning that a Doc's protect will fail if aimed at a Cop.

It's as simple as that.

What is required:
It's best if you are not going away for an extended period of time in the nearby future (a day or so is fine), as regular posting is required. Further more all you need is your skills.

Detailed Rules:
Depending on how many players join I'll make a certain amount Mafia and the rest Town. Expect a 3-to-1 Town-Mafia ratio. I'll send your alignment to you using the private discussion feature.
I'll also give the Mafia a Quick Topic at quicktopic.com to discuss their dastardly plans in.

Day phases will last 2 real-life days. During the day players may post their thoughts and suspicions. Further more they may vote another player at any time by posting Lynch: -Name- (Votes may be changed at any time). I'll keep track of all votes and I'll post Vote-Counts showing who's voting who.
Once a simple majority is reached (Half of all players plus one rounded down) I'll reveal who the lynched player was aligned with. They are then dead and may no longer post in-thread.
If the deadline is reached without a majority the player with the most votes on him gets lynched. If that's a draw nobody dies.
Players may also request for an extended deadline or vote for a "No Lynch"; meaning nobody gets lynched if a majority agree on it.

That's when the night phase starts. During the night the mafia must provide the name of a Town member they wish to kill. The Doctor and the Cop must also send me the name of the person they wish to target. I'll then give the Cop his result and resolve wether someone dies. I'll then start the day phase by revealing the name of the player who got assassinated. Nights should also last a max of 2 real life days however I'll end them early if all actions are in.

The Town wins once all Mafia are dead. So does the Mafia; but vise-versa with all town dead.

Some General Rules:
No speaking about this game outside of the game-thread, the Mafia however have an exception with their Quick Topic. This is to prevent alignment-indicative information from slipping.
No posting images/videos of your role message or quoting anything to do with it (time sent etc.). This is basically cheating and I'll Mod-Kill you.

I'll leave sign-ups open for a week, let's see how many players we can get.
