How I would manage the building of 2.0

    Sup Brawlers,

    I think the Admin team works very hard and I appreciate all that they do.

    That said, I think the community has also been very frustrated by the lack of production/deliverables for updates and 2.0 specifically.

    Not one to just b*tch about things, I thought it would be helpful to create a thread to focus on solutions about how we can help the admin team get things moving in a positive direction.

    I have a couple ideas for consideration.

    1) Designate a project manager assigned to 2.0 and all the updates in the legacy system.
    2) Develop a project plan with: Milestones, key dates, and organize the work around what is most important to the team, taking into account what the customers want (it is all about the customer).
    3) I would clearly define the scope of work for 2.0 and I would also do that for the updates in the legacy system.
    4) The team needs to meet on Monday to go over all the work that needs to be coded each week, discuss issues, and identify where they need help, as well as prioritize their work. The work would be divided up and the coders would then do their job. The planning needs to take into account vacation and holidays.\
    5) The team would meet every day for 10 minutes to talk about what they were doing to advance the work.
    6) Every month the project manager posts the project plan on the forums (very high level) for the work that occurred the following month as well as to identify the overall status of the work.

    I've attached a very rough draft of what the monthly dashboard would look like.

    I'd probably make it possible for people to both Alpha and Beta test every single forthcoming game mode on Brawl, in order to polish it further, fix issues and receive feedback.
    War 2.0 Alpha would stop negative threads about this stuff. If there is Alpha, and if doesn't go the way I predicted, I may as well be ashamed.

    Good Written Evil person :V Just that they wuld have a meeting each 2weeks instead of every. 2 Weeks isnt too much but either not too short, i can do a dam good motivation if you want me to... Not knowing if im allowed to :V
    And also the done work culd be poster in the newspaper thread every month. Great Idea man!

    I suggested something a bit more simpler... a Development Twitter :V, but I don't see any problems in this suggestion, me likey.

    Well if I think back like 3 years or so, some servers didn't even had coders they were pretty much all the same and ppl opened servers for fun and now some server are like businesses with real teams. first you need to understand how hard it is to even build a small 6 man team that works hand in hand and now looking at brawl they have to handel all the hate and all those things man just put yourself in one of the coders/ admins position they have to do a good job otherwise they are going to get bashed by the community... putty probably can't even play on his main account minecarft couse everyone would be like putty where is 2.0?????
    Just wait there are alot of w.i.p project at brawl right now just give them some time and they will finish them.

    This should be not only for War 2.0 but every update Brawl has yet to release. Good idea suggesting this!

    If they don't have something similar to this yet, it's stupid.
    They said it would come out May/June. Maybe actually have reliable announcements, or none at all?
