    Hello,
    I need a good software that can record my screen and another to edit videos. I would like both to be free. In addition I have tried some softwares and they put an annoying water mark in the middle or top of the screen. I would suggest that there would be no suggestion for those certain softwares(that put water marks in the video) if possible i woe like it if the software was light weight

    Fraps is kinda heavy on the fps, but there's a cracked version on the internet. I haven't gotten any malware from it, but you may wanna scan it with some online virus scanners.

    Another option is to get the replay mod. Kinda hard to explain what it is, so here's a video

    Thanks for the suggestion but fraps is a little laggy. I'll look at replay mod.

    Sorry for bump but my bro needs this but he needs a mac rec software.

    If you want a recording software with no time limit or watermark, try Apowersoft. Free, online and only require Java being installed on your computer.

    For editing.... I honestly use Windows Live Movie Maker, but that's just me. I've never done any serious movie editing outside from a few failed play-through series and school projects.

    A good recording software for Mac is ScreenFlow. The free version does have a watermark I think but if you pay $99, you've got possibke the best recording software for Mac. I used to have a Mac and I used the full version of ScreenFoow that costed money, and it was perfectly fine. You can record with a high fps and little to no lag.
