Brendoom muting for the wrong reasons?

You should probably provide some more context with screenshots regardng your mute. There is already a way to see who muted you and when.

Obviously your just trying to provoke him and I do see this wrong since you just kept using asterisks as spam and some people could think of that as bypassing a chat filter. This is an utterly pointless thread. I thought you meant he was abusing, not something silly like this.

 

1st things first. That was funny what you did.

On topic: You've just showed us a screenshot of just your message for being muted, how do we know you're not just trying to bring brendoom down? Also, he is a trusted staff member, he may mute who he pleases as long as he does it for the right reason. Don't get mad at a staff member because they "punished" you.

 

Erghh, I think the rank JMod is meant to be the rank where higher staff members see if the jmod IS trustworthy. You never know if he could do something that isn't meant to be requiring his staff powers.

 

You've given us a small screen shot, if you us one that expanded a little more, it may provide a little more info why you were muted. It's only 5 minutes, it's not a big deal

On topic now, he muted you because after he told you to calm down, you continued to do what he told you to stop doing @rsszi, and even after, he muted you, and even if it was a false mute, it was for 5 minutes, so I'd calm down.

Surprisingly, I agree with you @rsszi.

@Brendoom was a nice person before he was mod, but ever since he was promoted he became a bassmaster 2.0 just looking for reasons to use his /ban /mute commands, which in my opinion being mod shouldn't be about.

Therefor I voted definetly not.

 

Seems there was a few misunderstandings in this thread. @rsszi you were muted for spamming in the chat. It would not matter if it was a swear word, It still was the same "****" you kept repeating in the chat. You were given warnings on this but you continued so I took it further and muted you for 5 minutes. I was in the wrong to put "bypassing chat filter", We all make mistakes. But you were muted for spam, sorry if it seemed confusing for you.

 

Ok did he warn you? If he did you still should have gotten muted.

9 words in 5 minutes...that's around 2 words/sentences per minute (greatly rounded up). Not sure if that would count as spam. I bet if I typed something stupid like "I have a pet chicken" twice per minute, I wouldn't get cited for spam. I much confused.

Although I can totally accept that you mistook the asterisks for actual swear words, I would've done the same XD

 

Do you not understand the concept of spamming. If he makes two words in a minute it isn't spam. He shouldn't have even gotten a warning because he isn't actually doing anything annoying or bad. Just own up to your mistake and don't be that mod that mutes for silly or outright illogical reason, and everyone will like you. Moderate the chat when its getting out of hand, but don't dictate it when you don't need to.

 

He was muted for continuing to do something after a moderator told him to stop.
