Reflections

My data indicated that a major outbreak was occurring long before the CDC began issuing announcements. Throttling my pencil I had deduced that the US Government would be too slow to stop an infection of this magnitude. I began formulating a plan to address the Z-virus (Zombie virus). It was bold and a little crazy…I pounded down an Orange Crush and got to work on my plan. I also calculated the outcomes of the US Government and Super Hero community neither produced effective countermeasures based on my data analytics.

ROBBIE ran simulations on the data evaluating the possibility that if the infection spread outside of California the nation would be crippled. The world would fall within 30 days if we did not stop this infection.

Present Day

The primary elements of Task Force Alpha had landed. My operators had all been briefed on mission specs, parameters, and threats.

MR_Obsidian was impenetrable, a thick dark rock mountain of a man, his narrow frame was super strong and very fast for a man his size. He stood 6’3 and weighed a ton. He was an old friend and a natural selection for our primary attack. He was impervious to infection and one of the few that would be in the triangle of death.

Dark_Shadow had transformed into his untouchable shadow form. He had 8 of his shadows protecting our landing zone (LZ). The electrical discharges from his shadows were electrifying the Zombie’s that were close by. He provided the shadow cover we needed as we flew in and landed. His shadows masked our approach.

Task Force Bravo The_Rock and @The_Stealth had landed along the coast. The_Rock’s ability to absorb dirt, in this case sand made him a key element to my strategy. He began his task of absorbing sand, dirt, and rock to multiply his size. The_Stealth kept me appraised of the situation as they proceeded to checkpoint Bravo.

R.O.B.B.I.E my trusty AI robotic friend was at HQ in Vail, Colorado monitoring all signal traffic and positioning all the Rescue Bots on the perimeter of my defense walls. I had air dropped 20 foot tall defense walls, made of black plastic high density polymers to keep the zombies from leaving ground zero. Each wall would keep the Zombies contained for our mission.

The battle for Santa Cruz had already begun and this was half time. The elite super hero team known as The Guardians along with a battalion of army infantry had attempted to retake this area from the zombie infected populous. Within 2 hours of arriving the team, military, and camera signals had stopped broadcasting.

Prior to assembling my team I had done quantitative analysis to determine the most successful selections for these missions. Plucked from the finest detention centers our country has to offer, the super community and Special Forces from all around the globe, I had done my research and formulated a plan.

Unlike the hero’s I was not going to create a static defense line to battle the dead. Rather I was going to lock them (the Zombies) in and attack them. This was a different type of war and we needed unconventional thinking to win it.

The Commander in Chief called me on my cell phone and green lighted our mission to go into the hot zone. The unbeatable super hero team had just suffered their first catastrophic loss and our country needed a quick response.

The President conferred with his staff, consultants, the military, and his priest. I received his call 2 days after my presentation that we needed a different course of action. The deal was our records would be expunged and if we succeeded we would be financially rewarded. Our objectives were to look for survivors, the Super Hero team known as the Gladiators, and military personnel. He thought he was sending us on a Suicide Mission...

I knew differently, my calculations are never wrong.

My team was small but mighty. Rather, than waiting for the zombies to come to us. I went to them. I had my choppers drop the equivalent of a large acoustical sound stage in the heart of Santa Cruz. This was no ordinary stage because the walls around it were air dropped first. My plan was to draw the zombies to me in an elaborate fashion.

I queued my blackberry ear bud and notified US Special Operations Command that my team was ready to proceed with Operation: Back in Black.

I looked up into the sky and shot up my middle finger……and the music began to play. I had just given the signal to begin the mission.

There I was in the heart of Santa Cruz, cranking out the largest AC/DC concert anyone had ever heard. The zombies swarmed the area and my team began their work. MR_Obsidian swung cars, light poles, and pavement at zombies. Crushing them quickly and violently. Dark_Shadow had his 8 shadows dismembering zombies with savage kicks and punches. He was intangible to touch unless he wanted to touch you. His bursts of electricity fried every zombie in the path of his electrical currents.

I was using my telekinesis to decapitate zombies quickly and methodically. I also used my custom Dissassembler “Dissa” high damage assault rifle to lay waste to the zombies below. The more we battled the more the dead zombies piled up. I was directing my team from my perch and they were taking out scores of zombies at a time.

The President had allowed me to recruit the best and bring them to the United States. After running data on their powers, intelligence, skill sets, personality, and crimes. I selectively recruited the best of the best of the best from around the world.

I contacted the Super Villain Wolf Team @Wolfasa , @JaydenChadd their Wolves and @Mr_Foxtastic helped us to contain the zombie infection within the confides of Santa Cruz. The wolves had taken up perches in the surrounding buildings and were sniping zombies utilizing my high velocity heat rounds and custom Dissa rifles. ROBBIE’s Rescue Bot’s provided sentries to the sniper teams to insure that no unknown zombies would be sneaking up on them.

I had recruited the villain known as @_huehue (@Lekosa1) to teleport everyone to their assigned area. His ability to blink and teleport allowed us to move our resources around as the battle continued. @ZapCrusher was teamed up with Lekosa to make sure he didn’t leave. Criminals…..you can’t always trust them and I trusted ZapCrusher to keep an eye on Leko.

@Pikmin_Hunter led the charge to defend his city. He was with me in the perch of the concert stadium as the Zombies herded toward us. He used his Law and custom Skull Crusher that I designed for him to destroy Zombies as they stumbled toward us. He fought a bravely as anyone could. By day he was Physician, where he healed the sick. His mutant power made him one of the most popular Dr.’s around as he could heal with his touch.

British Special Forces

@Audi_ coordinated attacks for the global initiative and insured that everyone was safe. His valuable contributions included making sure we all got out of this alive. If we needed an extraction Audi would be the one to signal the retreat.

IRISH Special Forces

@ExquisiteCheese came out of retirement as a Special Forces commando to lead the attack from the North. His forces insured that the North wall stood and that any straggler zombies were contained. I got a glimpse of him shooting his custom Skull Crusher destroying Zombies in his path.

US Special Forces

@Signatured was in charge of the US Special Forces. They insured that zombies did not leave the designated area. Originally, his plan was to release a 2.0 counter virus to counter the zombie virus. Given that the dead were difficult to replicate he went with a conventional plan of eliminating them and he strategically placed his troops throughout the adjacent city to insure none of the dead left alive.

I was assigned a team of snipers @Gynamo , @booflame , @18kss , @19kss , @BDmcraft , @teawithchoco , and @BrawlerAce they both kept an eye on me and insured that none of the infected reached me. They were instrumental in shooting Zombies that got close to me. Although one of them nearly clipped me, must have been Gynamo.

@ZapCrushe was assigned to guard the criminal known as @_huehue (Lekosa1) they were a key element in our attack. They teleported around the city and insured that everyone had enough ammunition, resources, and that no one was in imminent danger. Leko’s ability to blink/teleport were coming in handy.

@_Cloudy_ provided air cover for the assault by using mutant powers to move the clouds out of the way. This provided us maximum daylight in which to retake the city. @A_cute_girl , @MessageForHelp , and @Usp45 were the security detail assigned to protect Cloudy.

Super Hero’s from the Texas

@Snail_5_ and his 4 clones secured the Western front. Texas only sent 2 super heroes because in Texas that is apparently all you need.

@meltingangel utilized his mutant ability to generate flame to incinerate the walking dead. Between he and the Snails they secured the west to insure the infection did not spread. Melting was literally on fire melting everything in his path. It was truly a sight to see zombies being destroyed with sharp molten energy blasts.

German Special Forces

@Lord_Roke (Special Forces Commander) and @LeTim performed rescue missions to save lives. I had known Commander Roke a long time, I knew he would rescue as many people as he could regardless of how the battle turned out. They teamed up with @Queen_Shine, @Mafia_Ferret, and the @Dark_King (Queen’s younger brother) to rescue residents who had climbed to the top of buildings to escape the zombie infection.

@Byakuren_Hijiri , @iWish , @Phanta , @MajoraJora , and @devin1qaz11 – Dr. Z provided cover to the rescue teams as they landed 20 miles away in the established safety zone.

They saved 1,000’s of lives performing their dangerous rescue missions. The Rescue Bots were their assigned security detail and they insured that no lives were lost.

French Super Hero’s

@Algelier France’s premier super hero provided oversight to the rescue teams. He utilized his mutant ability to fly to bring weapons, food, and resources to those in need.

My timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The_Rock had gathered tons of sand from the beaches and walked inland. He had enlarged his size to several stories tall. In the middle of 1,000’s of zombies a large sandy hand crashed into them and ripped them to shreds. Our battle lasted 5 hours, I think my team barely broke a sweat.

At the end of the battle, we had lured every zombie in Santa Cruz to our “concert”……

ROBBIE ran a satellite diagnosis we had effectively neutralized 90% of those infected. The siege was nearly over.

I gave her the signal to begin deploying Rescue Bots to the streets. Our robot army repelled from helicopters and moved inland from 5 different directions. They were tasked with mopping up the stragglers. Originally, I had conceived the Battle Bots for an evil take over the world type of plan but I changed it assist in the eradication of zombies.

My Blackberry bluetooth lit up when Robbie alerted me to Fireball’s location and that of MR_Invincible, leader of the hero team the Gladiators. I couldn’t make out the message due to the static.

She told me to haul ass to coordinates she was transmitting….
