Book Book review - Moneyball

Ever see a movie that changed your life? I read this book about 6 months ago and I would have to classify it as one of those rare books that does just that.

Moneyball the book is a grade "A" (especially if you are a stats geek like me) and the film was pretty well done. It really challenges how we look at everything related to winning and losing.

A step back, there is so much data/metrics out there waiting for someone to really dig into it and understand what makes someone great, what does average look like, and what does special look like. If you took some time to study the data it would tell you a story and allow you to develop a winning strategy. I believe this translates into every company, team, game (or the development of a game) that exists, politics, public and private companies. You could understand how to build wealth, achieve goals, and understand what good looks like.

In my point of view, where data exists there is the ability to understand it and from it create a winning situation or at least increase your probability of winning. This translates into sports, politics, how you study, everything....

The book was so popular they turned it into a movie.

I'd recommend reading the book and then seeing the movie.
