Idea Game of Life?

    Okay, I thought of this really weird idea for a game.

    The players are put on a 64x64 arena of cells (wool). They are equipped with a "cellular paintbrush" that paints cells green when used - the cell is now owned by that player. Only cells owned by a player appears green to them - all other live cells appear black. Every 3 seconds, the grid will be simulated according to Conway's Game of Life, but with a couple modifications:
    - When an empty cell has 3 bordering cells, it comes alive, and is owned by the player with the most bordering cells. If no player has the majority, the cell's ownership is randomly picked from the bordering cells.
    - When a live cells stays alive, it cannot change ownership.
    - Players cannot paint on others' cells - only on empty cells.
    The player with the most live cells after 60 steps wins.

    I feel it might be too complex of a game for a lot of our players, though.

    I think I get the idea of the game, but I'm with you when I say it might be difficult for new players to understand. Great idea though!
