This is just a short bit of writing I did in about half an hour.

Light, agile footsteps covered the ground quickly as the grass crunched beneath his feet. His padded, purple leather shoes made minimal noise, unlike the clanking of iron behind him. As he reached the center of a small clearing within the thick woods, he stopped suddenly, turned on his heel and stood, waiting, for his opponents. It didn’t take long; a militia of four stood before him. One wore armor of the purest aqua, the sun shining brightly against the diamond covering. To the left of the diamond-clad person stood someone bearing no armor, but instead a blade sharp enough that even looking at it would give a singe of what felt so much like physical pain. Finally, the two remaining were decked out in fine iron equipment, ready for battle. The purple-attired man held two staves at the ready, three more sticking out of various, custom designed pockets obviously intended for those weapons. Silence stood among them for what felt like the longest time, until, finally, one acted.

The unarmored person suddenly shot forward, with agility quite unhumanlike. The solo flyer held his blue staff up, and in the instant it swung forward, a bolt shot out, seemingly moving faster than sound, but it missed, and hit a tree standing behind the target, the ninja. When it collided, a shower of blue-and-purple sparks exploded, in a way one would think of like a firework. The person shot out several more of these magical darts, but each missed, the ninja closing in as each second passed. The mage seemed to have given up, letting the opponent close the gap in just two seconds. But before the ninja struck home, the mage acted faster than what most would expect; a gray staff was whipped out, and a beige spheroid blasted out, which hit the ninja directly, in a flash, a bolt of lightning came out of the blue sky, determined to strike that tiny orb, and landed its target. The ninja flew into the air, hit a nearby pine tree, fell down, and stopped moving. One target down, the mage thought, a smirk beginning to stretch across his face.

Next came one of the two iron-clad soldiers. She leapt into the air, high enough to barely skim the tops of the short trees, and landed on a thick branch. The mage went quickly, pulling out a stick of pure wood, and from it came a burning, indigo orb not unlike the lightning-attracting beige one. It instantly went aflame, and arced forward, landing directly on its target. Bursting ablaze, she toppled down the tree and landed on the moist grass. She attempted to rise once more, but a bolt got her before she could move, and for a short moment she was obscured by the massive number of sparks, and she, when it cleared, lay unconscious on the ground.

At once, the last two shot forward, one iron, one diamond, moving slowly as their armor dragged them down. The mage tried to back away for more spellcasting area, but tripped over a stray branch, and fell to the floor. The two took quick advantage, and a blade of steel came flying into the mage’s right leg. The mage gasped for a second, then slowly, mustering his strength, pulled out a stave with a tip of solid gold, and pointed it down towards his wound. A bottle shot out, landed on his injury, and as the bottle smashed apart and its contents spilled out on his leg, the wound fixed itself, and the remains of the potion seemed to vanish into nonbeing.

He sprung up, taking advantage of this burst of energy. In a flash, he was waving his numerous wands within his two hands, a fireworks spell shooting out from one, hitting the diamond-clad enemy. Out from another came one of those balls of fire, setting aflame the iron soldier. A lightning blast struck both of them, sending them further from their target. Then, the diamond fighter was instantly entombed within a block of ice, unable to do more than watch the quarrel. The mage used this advantage to send a flurry of attacks at the other. With a steady stream of spells constantly holding the soldier back, he gave up and fell, face first, into the grass, passed out. The ice surrounding the heavy started to crumble as the frozen tomb collapsed, letting its victim fall a foot to land in the shards of ice littering the ground. With a powerless opponent standing before him, he took no time finishing off the frail combatant.

He stood, once again, motionless, observing the clearing. It was no longer the quiet, uninterrupted place it had been minutes before; he had seen to that. The four enemies remained where they were, spread across the grassy floor. The mage turned away, laughed, and started walking, looking for another fight.
