Don't move this to literature section please : (
Warning: There is violence and stuff in this story

He was thrown to the ground, blood trickling down onto the marble floor, each drop echoing in the massive chamber. A mighty throne stood before him, gold and embossed with a symbol of a flag. A man was sitting there, one whom he had seen before, but whose identity chose to remain out of his mind’s reach. Guards covered from head to toe in highly polished iron suits stood at intervals down the walls of the massive hall, with two more standing on either side of the throne. The apparent king spoke. “So.”

“S-so what…?” he replied, his voice weak from all the damage he had taken.

“Your army has lost, and I found you within my premises, attempting to sneak by my guards. Why is that?”

    “W-why should I tell you? I don’t b-believe it is y-your business….”

The king sat up higher in his chair. “Anything within my land is my business. I find it quite brave that you refuse to speak when you are so clearly at my mercy.”

“Wouldn’t be s-so confident, would you, if y-you happened to be the one in my m-mercy?”

“A smug attitude won’t get you out of a death sentence. Remember who won the war, and why you failed so miserably.”

He smiled, showing several broken teeth. “That wasn’t a l-legitimate victory, you k-know. I d-discovered your secret dungeon. I k-know how you p-pulled that one off.”

“I see. Now that you have admitted to breaking into my… secret lair, you have secured yourself a death sentence due the end of this little talk we’re having. So tell me, why did you even bother trying to fight this war? I would have thought you’d known the power of my empire.”

The evening sunlight started to shine through the stained glass window behind the throne. “Hey, why n-not just kill me now? I know y-you’ve got that fancy s-sword disguised as part of the a-armrest to your pretty l-little chair. Go ahead, I w-won’t stop you.”

The king did indeed pull a keen blade straight out of the armrest, its many rubies glittering on the hilt. “If that is your choice, so be it.”

Standing up, the king walked a stride forward, The sword, sharper than the pointiest stiletto, propelled straight ahead, directly towards him. Suddenly, however, he swung his arm and hit the sword from the side, knocking the king off balance and making him drop his weapon. Taking this one-second opportunity, he snatched the sword off the floor and drove it straight through the king’s chest. The guards were on him in an instant, stabbing and slicing, but he didn’t care. His last image, and his proudest, was seeing KollVenk drop to the floor, dead.
