The L120_Isolator aka ISO

Sup Brawlers,

In my universe, the L120_Isolator, aka ISO, is a long range weapon that fires a small explosive round.

This post is dedicated to @PoixMine who gave me the suggestion and all the ISO users who use this amazing weapon. @Striker_Sly is an example of someone I used to have amazing battles with because he had mastered this weapon. Think ISO vs Dissassember (Dissa) Masters fighting.....epic battles for sure.

In the past I thought of this gun as a sniper weapon which many of us probably do. Now, I prefer to think of this as a type of Rail Gun.

A rail gun, is a type of electromagnetic projectile weapon. While often confused with Magnetic Accelerator type weapons. Rather than accelerating the projectiles through the use of magnetic coils, rail guns, as their name suggests, utilize magnetic rails to perform this task.

More precisely, a rail gun accelerates a conductive projectile along a pair of metal rails, using two sliding or rolling contacts that permit a large electric current to pass through the projectile. This current interacts with the strong magnetic fields generated by the rails and this accelerates the projectile.

The US Navy is experimenting with rail guns on battle ships. Here is a video on the Navy Rail Gun, the science behind this gun is amazing.

The ISO is unlike regular rifles. It is an instant kill if you get hit directly, even if it grazes you.

Advantages

• The ISO has the advantage of killing any enemy the bullet touches.
  
• The ISO is accurate at short, medium, and long ranges.
• This is a Sniper weapon, so when using it think like a sniper.
  
• Large ammo capacity
• Great with flanking and sniping.

Disadvantages

• It is weak against fast charging opponents due to slow reload and constant reload.
• The shooter can be caught off guard by multiple shooters during slow reload times.
  
• It must be charged/reloaded after 4 shots.
• When using in close quarters the shooter must be very accurate or switch to sidearm.

Ideally, the shooter will want to pair this gun with the perk "fast reload" to maximize the speed at which the bullets are reloaded.

Head shots kill super armor users instantly.

Great maps to use this on: Outpost, Appaloosa, and Wild West.
