Before you comment I am aware building your own pc is always better and usually cheaper and so on That is not my question please don't comment "build your own"

Hello, I want to be able to play fallout 4 and GTA V at medium to high settings and a reasonable frame rate 40+? I know how to build a pc and could but the alienware alpha is reasonably priced and is very compact; does anyone have any experience with this pc? I would be buying the i7 model for 650 dollars here are the specs.

    Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
    8 gigs ddr3 ram (Expandable)
    Intel i7 processor
    7200 rpm 1 terabyte processor
Slightly overclocked NVIDIA GeForce 860M GPU

Nice specs. I haven't played on but it seems like a nice system that should play those games well. I like the price.

For a pre-built and an Alienware, the Alpha actually isn't bad. Go for it if you want, it should be able to handle all AAA games with at least PS4/Xbone quality and higher framerate to boot, besides a few crappy ports.

Like I say always, look around for deals.
There are a large amount of gaming laptops for this but with better components.
You're screwing yourself out of money with an Alienware.

The Alienware Alpha is a rare exception among Alienware. It's actually pretty price effective for a pre-built.

Note that the Alpha is 400-450$. Could you buy a Gaming Laptop with better performance? Sure, $$$=Better computer. But for the same price as the Alpha, I think it'd be pretty difficult. The Alpha provides a quick and dirty approach to PC gaming and if @graycows just wants to start playing I think it's a fine choice. That said, most of the time Alienware is terrible.

The mentality that Alienware=Bad is a limited way of thinking. The Alpha is actually a great deal for budget pre-builts, and it'll be good for OP. I would rather build, but everyone's different.
