Hey everyone, I just have some news for anyone who's interested.
I'm having computer troubles. My laptop won't charge, no matter what I try. I think the port for the charger is broke. I've tried a few different chargers in an effort to keep my computer alive, but nothing works.

If I can't get my laptop to charge, I won't be on Skype or MC for a little bit until I get it fixed. I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys have for me.

    ~Kat

A similar issue happened to me.... Only mine was fixed within 24 hours. It's probably a different problem, though.

Is it a mac or pc? Check your battery, it may be the cause.

I had this issue in my old comp. What I did was fiddle with the plugs and the charger, just pushing them in further and wiggling them, until eventually the computer started to charge.

Please tell me you have tried multiple outlets. If you haven't, do it now, the outlet on the wall coulda blown a fuse. Even take it to another room that you know for a fact has a working outlet and try it there. If that doesnt work remove your battery check it out, reinstall it. Check the port, see if it's blocked by something. Those are my suggestions.

If you haven't tried multiple outlets, the battery might be shot (a.k.a. It doesn't work). If that's the case, you need a new battery and/or a new laptop.

^^ all of that, and if nothing else works go all out and buy a new battery (make absolutely sure it's the right one for your comp's model tho xD). My laptop had a similar problem, it would power off immediately (as in, slam to a stop) once the charger was unplugged. Replaced the battery, now it holds a charge.

    Edit: crap got ninja'd @ace_blue2

Thanks for everyone's advice/suggestions! I've tried everything you guys said, and none of it worked. I'm at school right now, but my mom ordered a new battery and charger. Hoping thatll fix the problems.

What Id do if my battery stops charging is I unplug it from the computer and plug it in. I also just leave it plugged in if the actual computer battery is dead. It keeps it on, and no performance changes. If your battery is like dead, replug in everything. If it's a windows 7 charger, try checking INSIDE the thing that plugs into the computer. One time the thing in there was bent, and wouldn't charge my computer.

This happened to me literally a week ago.

Mines getting fixed now. If it's a port issue, you need to send it for repair, or keep replacing the battery.

If you have a Toshiba laptop, my friend melted his charging port on his laptop, so that may be a possibility. Otherwise, there should be either a red x or a yellow exclamation mark over your battery icon on your screen that says your battery is shot. If that isn't there, its probably the charger. If the charger is fine and that symbol isn't there, then there may be an issue with the wire connections on the inside.

If your computer is a Mac, i can help.
For some reason before, my computer didn't charge, so i checked the charge port for debris, found out there were 3 staplers magnetically stuck into the charge port, so i got a pin and got it out.
Check your charge port for debris.
If not, you could get a new charger(s)

Try fiddling around with the charger port if its broken. You maybe able to realign it. Be very careful not to break it off. Weather if this works or not, your laptop needs to be repaired ASAP.
