    Well, all of must really know what factions is. You basically start a faction with a group of people, and try to be come the strongest one in the server. Raids can happen, and if you lose too much power, your faction can get greifed. Well, I have to say, factions is one of the most overplayed plugin in minecraft. If you literally go to a new server, 9/10 servers will have it. Although lots of you love faction servers, what is truly the difference between them, besides their spawn and just a minigame or 2. It is repetitive. I don't want to play factions, I want to play on a server with towny, simple clans, or just maybe regular survival. If you don't believe that so many servers have factions, type in google New minecraft servers, and you'll see. If you join them, every server is basically a clone of itself. Although if you notice, every towny server is different, ever simple clans server is different. For those of you who want to make a server with factions, DON'T DO IT. WORST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE. You will join the faction server clones. Try towny, it might be a bit complex, but you can do lots more things than in factions. I'm just tired of factions, seriously. If Brawl decides to do factions, please don't. I've also had bad memories with factions. It is rigged. Donars destroy all your hard work. Plus I have had bad memories with factions. Just don't do it....
    BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT DO FACTIONS, AND DO NOT MAKE A FACTIONS SERVER. PLEASE.

    Repetition of what is enjoyed by the majority.
    Same thing with CoD, it sells like a motherf*cker, yet it's repetitive.

    The majority of faction & CoD players are younger, and have not "fine tuned" their brains and thinking patterns to go onto something more sophisticated. They are more easy to please, so long as you know what they want. An 11 year old will bounce off the walls if you take them to Disney Land, and they'll be genuinely happy. You can give one of your employees a vacation, they'll be happy for that, sure, but it doesn't make them forget everything and get swelled up in joy because of it, like the kid does.

    Is your message from this really "I don't like factions, therefore you shouldn't make a factions server"?

    Because that's what I'm getting out of this.

    Factions may be an overdone gamemode but that doesn't mean that you have to play them, nor does it mean that nobody should make them.

    But it is difficult to find a server WITHOUT factions. Plus to see if the server is good, 24/7, etc....

    And majority of the Mc players are within the 10-20 year old range. Have you played factions alot? I mean seriously, look at how much of a clone every server is when they have factions.

    I've administered PvP servers, and I used to play factions with a few friends.
    They're mostly clones, I'll give you that, and I'm not a fan of them, but keep in mind that most faction "servers" are run by people trying to get donations for themselves. If you build something because you have an agenda, it's not gonna get far without stupidity.

    The 7 year olds of Minecraft (Or those with the mentality of a 7 year old), are the stupidity that fuel the fire.

    I don't know what is the matter with the minecraft community now. If you have seen recently, the new minecraft servers or small servers are thirsting for survival. Everyone hacks, asks for staff, troll, and make server owners miserable on them now days. And I'm pretty sure the minecraft community is becoming stupid too. Like downloading a plugin that every server has....

    Pot and soup factions? Those are different. Not meaning to advertise, but I only know of 1 soup HCF server and 2 pot HCF servers, ipvp and kohi. Those are original
