The Mac-10...or UZI

Sup Brawlers,

Evil here with another Evil-licious gun review on "MAC-10”. However, I decided to change the MAC-10 to the UZI in my texture pack.

The Uzi was designed for use by the Israeli military in the '40s, and also became popular with other military and law enforcement groups, including the U.S. Secret Service. It was a select-fire submachine gun chambered in 9mm, and fired from an open bolt.

The first Uzi submachine gun was designed by Major Uziel Gal in the late 1940s. The prototype was finished in 1950. First introduced to IDF special forces in 1954, the weapon was placed into general issue two years later. The Uzi has found use as a personal defense weapon by rear-echelon troops, officers, artillery troops and tankers, as well as a frontline weapon by elite light infantry assault forces.

The Uzi has been exported to over 90 countries.[2] Over its service lifetime, it has been manufactured by Israel Military Industries, FN Herstal, and other manufacturers. From the 1960s through the 1980s, more Uzi submachine guns were sold to more military, law enforcement and security markets than any other submachine gun ever made.[5]

The MAC-10 was the product of commercial design, in the U.S., and came about ten years later than the Uzi. It was heavily plugged by the makers for the military, but was never adopted, at least not by the U.S. Because it was made out of folded sheet metal, it was very cheap to make, and various semi-auto versions made their way onto the commercial market. The Uzi was one of the great submachine guns of all time, while the MAC-10 is mostly known for its use by hoodlums and gangster retard rappers.....or your favorite Ninja!

The Mac-10/UZI is your entry level submachine gun.

It has a decent magazine and round capacity (30+34) for Fully-Auto firing. The Mac-10/UZI provides the least amount of damage for submachine guns in its class. The damage is 14 and considered very low for any weapon.

This weapon is really a low powered .9mm. Your weapons is a primary weapon and meant to assist you as you take down more experienced players while alternating between your primary & secondary weapons.

This weapon is best used in flanking (from the side), head to head (short and medium distances) and you'll want to use this and your pistol when clearing rooms.

· When using the UZI you will want to use your Ninja Skills to get the jump on other players.

· Your weakness is being out in the open, faster shooting opponents and short range of shot. Ideally, you will want to shoot down range, where your shots have the best opportunity to fly and hit multiple opponents. Because your rounds are so low damaging, you will want to be a support player and not at the point of attack.

· Your keys to success include: stealth through buildings, hallways, and clearing rooms.
Ideally, you'll want to be surrounded by your team at the point of attack. You cannot hold off enemies if you are able to bottleneck them.

This weapon is so under powered that it is best to let other players run past you...

Here is how the Mac-10 stacks up to other puny guns in it's class.



The table above shows that the firing rate 600 Rounds Per Minute. It has a relatively fast reload time compared to its class and provides the least amount of damage to an enemy in close range.

The entire lineup of Submachine Guns need to be reviewed and buffed.

Here are critiques to watch for when watching the video:

1) When using the Mac-10/Uzi, it was out in the open and there were multiple shooters engaging at the same time. With this type of gun you want to engage shooters when they are shooting at others and not at you (if possible).

2) You will want to hide behind walls or cover and let off a few rounds at a time from a flanking attack (on their side), not straight on. Get your ninja skills on.

Here's a demo of the Uzi's accuracy.

When playing Infect with this weapon, you will want to be in in the air shooting down in defensible area where you have a clear line of sight or on the ground shooting up at a choke point like the tunnels in Amarak. This will help you hold off multiple zombies during the next zombie apocalypse. You will want to be in support of Ray guns and assist when they are reloading.

I would agree that this whole class of guns need a major buff... the data doesn't lie.

If you don't mind having the weakest of all guns available. I'll look and see if I can find anyone who has ever nuked with it.

 

Based on the very low damage per round, small clip size compared to damage per round (you could empty all your ammo on 2 people), I think this would be quite the challenge.
