    Question:

Why is @tallscot banned for DDoS threats when the only evidence is a screenshot? He tells me it is a fake screenshot, but I was under the impression that Brawl's policy is that screenshots aren't admissible as evidence, so regardless of whether it's real or not, he shouldn't have been banned. Am I missing something here?

We do not strictly deny all screenshot reports. The amount of screenshots that were provided, which were full screen, allowed us to fairly assess the situation. Combined with server logs, we are confident in standing behind the ban we issued.

My personal thoughts are that tallscot thought it would be easy to evade the ban since screenshots are not usually accepted. Claiming that they are fake would be an easy way to receive an unban if we were not firm behind our decision.

OK I understand that, but on the other hand, I have been told outright that my screenshots aren't evidence, they weren't even looked at. I think it would be easier if you put an official statement, maybe in the Rules and Information section, explaining the difference between admissible and non-admissible evidence. That way there can be no confusion. Thanks.

The report form and the guide to reporting both say to submit full screen screenshots or they are not accepted. The guide to reporting specifies "we only accept screenshots that show to you your full screen, and we don’t accept any reports where only a small bit of the chat is screenshotted". Perhaps clarifying this could still be beneficial, but I can't find where we say they are never accepted.

I understood cropped screenshots weren't allowed, but I've been told by staff members that screenshots aren't evidence, period. If you could make sure everyone in your staff team is up to date with reporting specifics, that would be great. Thanks for your help, I think my question's been answered.
