    I agree that it's perfectly fine to want to be helpful and offer assistance to new people.

    It's more that, in this case, he's pretty blatantly modbaiting. I mean, he's got 1 post on the forums. Total.

    I'm alright with people offering assistance, I'm even alright with people who use it to try to get mod attention. It's just that he's kind of asking for it (even though he wouldn't know, because again, 1 post).
