Not a Bug Bullets Penetrating Blocks

    Hello, just thought I'd post up a Bug a few players have noticed; bullets penetrating blocks.

    It occurs when a gun that can spray bullets rapidly, like the AK47 or the M4A4, is fired at the corner of a block.
    Don't get me wrong, this isn't the bullets just skirting the edge of the block and hitting the player, it occurs when you fire at any other angle at a block other than straight on.

    The bug isn't usually a problem as you have to hit a specific area, but it can be annoying when a player can kill you round corners.

    I know that Minestrike isn't the most popular gamemode but if any of the Dev's can fix the issue it'd improve gameplay a lot.

    Cheers for explanation, shame it can't be fixed but I guess it makes the game interesting, perhaps Mojang will patch it at some point!

    This happens in war/WarZ as well. I don't think there's anything that can be done about it unless there's some way to manipulate hit boxes when near blocks, which would be pretty buggy. I think the only solution is to not corner camp!

    Like Striker said, this happens in WarZ and War too. From what I know:

    If someone is sitting in a corner, that is visible on the other side, their hitbox will go through the block, which allows people to hit them.

    Unfortunately, I don't believe this is fixable, due to the fact that it's a Minecraft bug, and not a Brawl bug. This happens on other servers, and on servers (from what I've seen) you can hit people through corner blocks in PvP as well.

    This is normal minecraft. Try throwing a snowball through the rigjt corner of an block.
