    Sup Brawlers,

I'm curious about using a Mac laptop when I travel for races. I've been used to my Windows systems and I'm pondering picking up a Mac laptop. I was curious who has one and how you like it.

Please only reply if you have a laptop.

    1) What kind of Mac is it?

    2) What is your average FPS?

    3) What do you not like about your Mac?

    4) What do like about it?

    5) Do you record videos? How does your system do when you play and record?

    Thanks!

    1. Macs, regardless of the model, are, shortly speaking, overpriced trash. I would much rather pick up a prominent laptop then.

    2. Depending on whether or not you blow your money on RAM and on the i7 model, you will get either 20-30 FPS or 100FPS.

    3. 95% OF ALL GAMES ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON THIS PLATFORM
    PIRATING IS PAINFUL
    AWFUL FOR GAMING

    4. Oh look it's pretty

    5. On a 2011 model it's 10 FPS while recording, while 30-40 on a 2013. Can't name specific models.

    TL; DR
Dude, buy a laptop with windows instead. Mac is garbage.

I have been using a 2012 13" MacBook Pro for my entire MC experience on Brawl and I find no faults with it. Everything still works perfectly after 4 years and it's light and portable.

    1) I use a mac laptop for all my gaming and hit a decent 80 FPS with no other tabs open, and never drop below 60 FPS even with a bunch of other windows open.
    2) I use a Mac-book Air, which is a couple of years old but can still can all the latest software.
For general use, mac is the best laptop (in my opinion) however whilst some software isn't available you can easily find similar substitutes online, often for a lower price or for free.
    3) one complaint is the battery life, whilst my mac laptop will last me a decent 2-3 hours gaming, it can be annoying, at least recharging is fast.
    4) one thing I found is that, compared to other laptops, Mac handles multiple windows easily and tabbing is simple, whereas other laptops of the same age lag something awful.
    5) You can use the QuickTime player to record, but tbh I'd recommend using OBS with Audacity (all free and decent software)

A couple of pointers is that if you want to run the latest version of OS X (El Capitan) then buy a more recent model. Also, my ram is pretty low (only 4GB I think) so I'd recommend that you buy a version with more. Finally, with this compute I can play Mine-strike, AND NOT LAG WITH SMOKE, sorry for caps but if you know what I mean then you'll understand that a machine barely even frame drops is pretty decent.

A MacBook pro would run minecraft on quite high settings and get good frames. The other MacBooks like the Sir and the new MacBook wouldn't however. Personally, unless you need Mac specific programmes like xcode or final cut, I'd go with a Windows laptop because almost no good games work on OSX, and you get more bang for your buck gaming performance wise with a Windows laptop. I mean a 1000$ Windows PC outperforms a 1700$ MacBook in any game, even if you run Windows in bootcamp on the Mac.
