Hello like the 5 viewers who actually read the Minestrike section, it's Darkchaosknight (that nerd who has 2700+ hrs on CSGO but can't aim whatsoever). Anyways, today I'd like to discuss ideas to improve what is deemed by many the smallest sub community on Brawl. In honesty, Minestrike has so much potential however it is continually ignored by users due to buggyness (Yes, I made a new word), Lack of playerbase, and also non-elements of an addictive game. Hopefully, I can have the cool 5 viewers who do look at this like this post and keep it alive so that lovely coders can read it and possibly act on a few ideas.

    Credit System:
For anyone who has played any game on a phone, on a computer, etc. designed to be addicting, there is a common trend. This common trend is tokens, points, credits, etc. Mc-War, designed by Orange451, does this masterfully by forcing players to want to achieve all the variants of guns and then open new options such as making clans using credits. In all honesty, Minestrike needs to incorporate something similar dealing with aesthetic and other options (Expanding Below with other Ideas).

    Aesthetics System:
When Counter Strike Global Offensive came out, it had a similar problem to Minestrike. The fact was, the learning curve was so high that nobody wanted to stay for any reason what-so-ever (Unless they were incredibly talented hue). Regardless, the geniuses at Valve came up with the idea of adding aesthetics (Or Costumes/Skins). This idea alone changed how people regarded CSGO. Now, not only was it a game of skill but also a game of trading, getting skins, etc. Now that I've told you this, you're scratching your head thinking, why is this nerd ranting about something so trivial and bizarre. Well the reason is: Valve Is ****ing Smart. Their business model is great and Brawl really should apply it. Now you're thinking, "OMG, how do you add aesthetics to a game about blocks??". The answer is quite easy, the use of visual alterations such as enchantments would easily do the trick. On the buycraft site, you could easily set up a key system where players buy keys and can roll in game for Aesthetics or Stat-Trak Items (Expanded Below). You could also go with the credits idea and make it so when players get X credits, they can buy a key and roll for items. OR, you could do both which is not a bad idea at all (Not pay to win at all, just pay to get Aesthetics or play to get Aesthetics).

    Stat-Trak System:
For any nerd who has played Counter Strike a day in their life, you know that Stat Trak is "all the rage"... (Sounding like my dad. Check!) Anyways, my suggestion for this is quite simple. Add it. Stat-Trak is such a simple Aesthetic yet people adore it. This suggestion doesn't need much explanation...

    Ranking System:
DON'T BLOW OFF READING THIS ONE. IT'S NOT ABOUT ELO FFF. First two sentences just to clarify. When I suggest Ranking, I'm talking about the brand new experience system in CSGO which allows players to gain titles for playing. This system would have nothing to do with ELO whatsoever, just a nice aesthetic people would strive for. This ranking system should also have some sort of Prestige system like CSGO. To clarify, the prestige system in CSGO makes it so that once a player hits level X, they can start from Level 0 but with a new badge.

    Challenge System:
Something that every other IOS addictive game has is a challenge system or activity thing. These things make the game part of a daily ritual and is done extremely well on CSGO. I suggest to use Valve's brilliant ideas once again (They know what they're doing...). I believe that a weekly or daily task should be set on Minestrike.
    I.E.
    Get 100 kills today, + X experience, + X credits
    Get 50 Headshots today, + X experience, + X credits
Get 40 shouts while using a Scoped Sniper Rifle, + X experience, + X credits

By initiating systems like this, the game always feels somewhat fresh. It also forces players to try new things that they may enjoy.

    Rebalancing & Bug Fixes:

    @WhoeverTheHellLooksAtThisStuff
    • Go through the maps and make sure that each of them has the terrorist and counter terrorists spawning at the right places. Some maps have T side spawning where CT should and visa versa.
    • Add a larger spread to guns after the first shot. For example, the Desert Eagle can be spammed and has 100% accuracy.
    • Shotguns aren't a very viable option currently.
    • Going without armor doesn't have many drawback. Suggestion? Make it so that when a player is shot at, there bullet spread is ridiculously large.
    • Remove/Optimize Smoke Grenades. They actually break peoples computers...
    • Add the hidden nametag system back (Or make it so that you can only see your teams name tags). Seeing enemies through walls ruins the entire point of Counter Strike.
    • Players cannot do /friend while on Minestrike whatsoever.
@18kss Because you're a Minestrike fan amirite

I'd love to see this added +1

Having said that I feel that Minestrike is fairly over-looked and I see what you're saying about potential. Seeing as CS:GO is such a popular addictive game Minestrike could take some pointers on the structure of its design. I'm not sure if I understand #1 as it doesnt really go along with the theme of making Minestrike more like CS. Don't quote me if I'm wrong, but there is no credit system that allows you to unlock new guns in CS:GO. If you're going to more of a monetization of Minestrike then I agree 100%. On to the next 4: I love all the ideas of implementing these. It adds incentive, opportunity, and seems overall more appealing. I'm not sure if anyone else likes this idea or if the coders think its possible, but I love this thread. :>

The credit system in Counterstrike is known as your steam wallet... Hue. My suggestion is to cut that component out as that itself pushes away users. By adding some sort of credit system, it's hugely beneficial as it adds a play to win aspect that is generally positive by communities.

You missed the 3rd or 4th person with most hours clocked into MineStrike :frowning:

Anyway, I heavily agree. The game needs a breath of fresh air and hasn't been updated for years.
I think we also need moderators for the server as well.

In all honesty, updates are needed before Moderators. Let's see where the updates take us

I totally agree with you here, Brawl is, in my opinion, missing a trick with Minestrike as other server, like Hypixel or Mineplex, now have CS:GO style mini-games that are all hugely popular.

One a side not its great to see someone posting stuff like this, the more people who ask for an update in the Minestrike thread the more likely it'll be noticed and heeded.

With teams spawning on opposite sides that probably the team color glitch. Which sometimes happens every now and then. Also should of mention some of the maps that have ways to get oom. Also with challenges I would easily run through like nothing. The keys and cases are those gonna be bought with credits or money money (dumb question). Over all I would like to see some changes within the server maybe add some more maps and redo the parkour and stuff. I really like the idea of this.

I would really like to see more people get on this server because it not getting as much attention anymore. Also the way people act on there is quite the bothersome for me and some others with all the hackusations and other things people say. If this does happen I'l probably come back to get to top of stats and be KING OF MINESTRIKE, (best player on minestrike).
