To all players that think staff hacks...

We have had mods that abuse their powers in the past, as you explain in this thread though, JMOD's have very little power. If someone hack accuses just ignore them because they are obviously uneducated nine-year olds.

 

Most people don't know the difference between a killaura and killaura. I just laugh when I'm accused of hacking.

Yeah sometimes Mods would accidently abuse there powers but that wouldn't mean they did it on purpose but if they were not to unban you then they were abusing their powers and then they will get demoted and banned for abusing. But on a different server a mod abused powers and thought I had speed and banned me and I did a ban appeal and they still didn't unban me so I just hate when some Mods just abuse.

 

Even though I'm new tho this amazing community. I agree, In my like 1 hour I've bene playing, I have seen maybe 2 or 3 inexperienced players call staff members such as "hackers" and "abusers"
One little idea I'm thinking off, Maybe block /report (staff members name) so that it doesnet "waste" staff members time idk, and then it would say maybe "You cannot report staffmembers" and then the message "please take it with the Smod cuddled if you have proof" If cuddled is up to it, She already does her job amazing Props to you @Cuddled

Why is this even an issue? Who cares what other people think of you? Just let them accuse, ignore them and move on.

 

I agree 100%. Back when there wasn't as much emphasis on chat moderation, I got a bunch of "Jaetpack1 hacks!" and "Jet is usng haks" (I've legitimately heard that before). It really is annoying to hear because you didn't do anything. It seems like it's an automatic response and excuse for getting beaten in any game, rather it be party or War. You now it isn't serious when a PVT on War says you use aimbot because it isn't even possible to direct where the snowball goes or how much damage it does because that's for the server to decide, not the item shooting it.

I just ignore it really because it doesn't help anyone and it's a useless chat. There's no real meaning behind it except an excuse for being killed. There are some legitimate ones, but that doesn't come up very often . Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done about it besides muting the person if it becomes spam. I wrote a thread that has to do with calling people noobs because of what gun they use, but it's basically the same idea: an excuse because you got killed by someone better.

 

Me being a moderator for approximately 6 months, I completely understand this. When it comes to abuse of a moderators powers there is always the option of gathering evidence and sending it in to Cuddled. By doing so you'd be helping the community massively and overall improving the quality of the staff team. Also, hackusating is sorted the majority of the time with a punishment as it is a mutable offence. I fully sympathise with those falsely accused but there are types kinds of people in this particular situation. Some people may act defensive and get upset to some extent but it takes great maturity to ignore it and move on perhaps even laugh about it. In my opinion it's not something to get too fussed about and that's a great quality to have.

This is a really good point, I've seen it happen, and a regular player can't effectively call out a trusted staff member. Player frustration is super understandable IMO.

I sometimes win fights by simply winning a fight on WarZ by one shooting a full iron white name and they start flaming in chat saying, " OMG HACK REC UR GETTING BANNED!!!!!" Then they start PMing me telling me that I was "hacking" and that I was going to get banned. I simply reply and say, " I recorded the fight too. Would you like me to upload?" Then they get off the server. I find it quite comical.

 

Most Mods aren't that good at the game.....

Except for @Blamo , @Snail_5_ and @rocktomb34 and my fav mod of all time @SpeedBreaker .

 

I bet you guys would dominate at Party....

The guys I was listing are pretty good at War.

No one parties like an Overlord though.
