How to use the horse kit

Using the horse kit is actually pretty simple, most people do it completely wrong. The trick is, not to treat it like it's an easy kit to use. Don't just strafe and backpedal and shoot people who chase you.

When you backpedal/strafe, people will run up and attack you from the sides or from behind you. The horse is slow. Your leather armor isn't good enough to take shots from archers or attacks from standard kits. Not to mention, on other servers, someone could set your horse on fire or just kill you in 3 seconds if they get the chance. The trick is, to always move at full speed. To do that, you have to hold W, not A or S or D. The mouse and W are the only things you really use. You switch directions by rapidly swiping the mouse and the horse will turn pretty much instantly. There's no delay, it just snaps into position and turns, immediately galloping into any direction; even the opposite direction.

Another thing to remember when using a horse to pvp is that swords are garbage when mounted. Riding up to someone is a bad idea, this is not mount and blade. This is kill my horse simulator. The horse does no bash damage, it's a giant hitbox and doesn't have much health. Use the bow instead. Again, don't WASD, just W and use the mouse to turn. The trick is to ride around the target and look at him right when you want to fire. Shoot, but then go back to your track of running around or away from him. If you look at him for too long, the horse will get too close and he'll kill it and or you. One thing that works pretty well is to ride around and annoy people to the point of jumping at you, at which point you can turn the other way and do a 360 shot. It gives you enough time to fully draw the bow back and get a shot that pretty much never misses.

So basically, you ride around the player, always have your bow drawn fully,(you don't have to spam, you're faster than the player is) and only spend half a second aiming each time. If you spend too much time aiming, you'll get to close and risk death. I do it pretty sucessfully in this video for a short killstreak

I would but horse archery is hard to do on less than 60 frames. Its a small difference but it's kinda crazy how much harder it makes it to play
