Story Just a Little Time - Chapter 5

Wow, a lot of stories have happened recently on this forum section. K, lets do dis.

Ender and company arrived at the grand ports of Mezoheim, the southern-most major city of the Welliwayan peninsula. "We've arrived. We're not stayingstating very long, I don't want to be stranded during the Ridge Winds". They started walking inwards, stocking up on items in the local market. "Our destination is Welliwak. Hopefully we an arrive there before the Ridge Winds get too dangerous", said John Smith. Ender asked "So what exactly are the Ridge Winds again?". "They're the winds that storm Eartern Welliway every year for a week." "Ah, OK. So we just follow the coastline at a bit of a distance?" "Yes. Yes we do.".
They arrived at Welliwak at about midday. The ports where getting fuller by the hour, all the ships docking at the city in preparation for the Ridge Winds. Some where going to leave before the Winds arrive, some were staying at the port and docks for the week. In the distance, to the North, you could see the wind getting faster.
"Don't worry, the wind doesn't go over Welliwak itself. It stays on land until a few miles after Jovepop, then it starts going off to sea. The next land it'll hit is Hevelen, but Mezoheim will also be affected.", assured Jack Harkness, whilst they were looking for a place to stay. They reached the Town Hall, where the County Governor informed that the next place that wasn't full was Ibely, in the Middle Westlands.
They arrived at Ibely, where they were told they should go to Melipon for rooms John and Jack got promised from the Depsorian Government. So they made their way to Melipon, which was an easier journey than the previous ones because Ibely actually provided transport for the group.
Once they arrived, the Ridge Winds had already entered full force, and would remain that way for the next 4 days, so Ender and company were stranded in Melipon for that time, until the wind calmed down.
"The Ridge Winds are actually quite a good defense thing.", said the Mayor of Melipon. "You see, the Ridge Winds period is usually a popular time for war and invasions on other countries' parts, including Slivakia, who really wants the Hevelen isles.". The mayor lit up the fireplace. "Here in Melipon it's quite cold. You might not be very used to the temperature.".
A week passed, and the group set off to Kutana, the next major city on their journey. Luckily, Welliway and Wintraria have open borders, so getting there was easy. They were now a bit lost, so they asked the local cartographer in which direction to go. "Well if you want to reach Capaflag, you could either go through the Vogina route or the Winterfell route. The Vogina route is shorter, but it isn't a very interesting view, unless you're a crop fanatic, but the Winterfell route has some of the world's coldest roads and regions. But I suggest that before you do that, you go to Icefall and get some supplies. Melipon hasn't seemed to give you too much. Here's a map, in case you ever got lost again."
So they made their way to Icefall. In Icefall, they stocked up on supplies and made their way to a local restaurant to have dinner. "A controversial law in Capaflag sparked the Capaflagan Civil War. Whilst the Capaflagan government has a vast army, the rebels farly excell in quality, with some of the most skilled citizens fighting for the old ways. Depsoria officials claim they might intervene if things get out of hand.", the news was saying. Ender said "hmmm... Looks bad. It's probably a good thing were going the long way. I wouldn't want to arrive at Capaflag whilst its in the middle of a civil war." John Smith commented "If that happens though, I'll have to be the diplomat.".
About 2 hours later, they arrived at the hotel. Lacy said "OK, were leaving tomorrow. Remember to bring something warm... Really warm."
