Studying issues of power

Okay okay, before you get your pitch forks and torches and mall out 'A certain someone.. cough cough @username issue cough cough'. Please listen to the thread.

Lately from what I've been noticing and observing, some Staff members with power think they're more entitled than they actually are. Given that the issue is power, those who can't control their own emotions tend to relent more on the ones they deem "enemy".
Once a Junior Moderator reaches the Moderator rank, they are given more power, this can have certain effects on that person corresponding to the issue.

• Good: They do the job rightfully and truthfully without issues of corrupt.
• Bad: They use their power to punish "enemies" more, ones they hate will not obtain equal punishments and result in much higher punishment for a small problem.

Before you judge people, learn about the person, about their behavior, their anger, feelings that represent the way they are acting towards certain people.

Now for those who are these types of people. You might not think that your arrogance is an issue but boy it is. If complaints are filed towards you, be honest. It's better to solve out the situation by being honest rather then letting it bite you in the rear unexpectedly.

Corruption of power comes in many ways. Most common is the use of wrongfully punishing. However from what I've seen, an issue occurs, they punish said user for "punishment", assuming proof was added in to back up the state of the issue.
Which side is correct? The staff who banned or user? Learn about the situation, study it and simulate the situation within your head or writing down, target key information to study the patterns and what you would think is correct and what is not. It's not that hard to spend a good amount of time to figure out the situation.
Please, think about the situation before judging automatically (exceptions to this, however). It can mean a lot.
