Technology Solving the Cooldown on Swords

    So I've been with 1.9 for quite a while now, mostly the spigot side of it. Which made me itching to do something that everyone wants disabled... SWORD COOLDOWNS. This is most probably going to be a jumbled mess because I want to beat anyone who's trying to program this currently.

    IDEA 1:

    Basically get all the data from 1.8 and under for swords. Let's say wooden swords do 2 hearts. If someone attacks with a wooden sword, even if the cooldown is still in effect, just set the damage to 2. That seems pretty easy to do :grinning:.

    Cooldowns can easily be removed. Not an issue for us.

    There would also be a question of crits, and such. But 1.9 does have a lot of unwanted features, most of which can be removed. Although 1.9 is basically things you find in mods, and most of which are customizable. Making 1.9 plugin develop extremely cool. Considering Minecraft is touching up on combat.

    I thought mojang made it possible to revert to 1.8 PVP with command block?

    Making the attack speed super fast, but vanilla can have limitations.
