Raygun rework(?)

    This is a Raygun rework, since most of the other ideas are thrown out.
    So I had this idea of a Laser Rifle for War, just to spice things up a bit and bring in a little more popularity.

    It leaves a small lasting trail behind, approximately 2 seconds (40 ticks).
    It also can go right through enemies, it does not have a headshot capability.
    It, however does not have a blast radius.

    Fire mode - Semi-automatic
    Fire rate - 20 ticks
    Reload - 3.8 seconds
    Magazine - 8 + 24 (32)
    Damage - 70
    Recoil - 2 (does not effect enemy)
    Range - 1000M
    Hip accuracy - 4.0
    Aimed accuracy 0.2
    Special ability - Passing through enemies
    Bullet type - ??? (Unknown as of yet, not sure if snowballs can instantly hit someone)
    Does not crit/headshot
    Donor weapon

    This will be the one of the unique weapons to go through enemies.

    I really like the idea of this, adding it would really
    My only concern is it being too op. Yes, it is a donor weapon, but the fact the it is a shotgun (meaning multiple bullets) makes it so that you could shoot it into a crowd of people and get many kills. I think it would be spammed a little bit.

    It has a fire rate of 8 ticks, which is kinda a lot to most people that assume that 2 ticks is slow. Most weapons have even lower ticks.
    The ammo will be lowered down to 32 (10 + 22), plus, there should be more weapons that are at least strong and can work in all gamemodes expect OIC. Firerate can increase I suppose to 10/20. But remember, you have to hit the bullets, they all have to hit in-order for it to do decent damage. It's meant to kill enemies with ease.
    I just want a weapon that's actually good as a donor weapon for all types of gamemodes.

    I can see this being absurdly overpowered on infect. I like the idea of bullets passing through players, but with the damage and ability to headshot, it's just too much. If a bullet would be able to pass through someone, the player shouldn't be knocked back and it shouldn't do that much damage at all. This would balance the weapon better. This simply seems like the ray's close range cousin and just one more unbeatable weapons for the zombies to have to face.

    I did ask in my post if it was possible to have a headshot, probably not but we can make it not do headshot damage if I'm correct.
    And you are correct about the infect, bleh, with more things, causes even more issues. With the recoil being that high, that means the player using the weapon gets knocked back, not the enemy being fired.
    Enemy gets no knockback from weapon, player who uses weapon gets recoil affect.
    I'll fix it up a bit more but infect is such a damn balance issue for anything explosive/laser like. Oh wells.

    If players didn't get knocked back from being shot by the gun and didn't die instantly, this could be interesting. And you are right about infect. It's almost like it needs it's own server, or at least different guns/differently balanced guns. It just doesn't work the way it is currently...

    The gun doesn't knock back enemies, it just knockbacks the player using the weapon, the weapon is reworked as of now, in a much better way.
    Recoil only effects the user holding the weapon, not the enemy.
    Now if only infect weren't so damn hard to balance out newer weapons.

    Honestly, I like the idea, but I personally think this is a bit too much like the raygun without its explosives. I know there are a few exceptions, but.....y'know what i mean :wink:

    Yeah, it's now like a Raygun rework instead of a new weapon. Oh well
    The weapon should be called "Raygun rework" since it's completely the same as the raygun now. Gah War is a hassle to balance.

    I'd much rather have the current or the older version, since this one has recoil which sends you flying about 10 blocks (average value is around 0.012).

    In all honesty, I don't really care what others think, but Raygun should either remain the overpowered mess of infected, or be useable in all game modes with success as great as Minigun.
