Book DDay: A Soldier's Story

One day a soldier in WW2 was about to prepare for a lifetime event, one he will never forget. For most of the war this man was in the USA as his family moved there from britain in 1936. As he embarked on a ship not too long after the Pearl harbour attacks he sailed over to Europe For one of the most famous moments in history and if this didn't happen then the ENTIRE WORLD would be so different than what it is today and this is one of the main reasons why adolf hitler commited suicide. He finally started to see the meeting point of the British Canadian and American forces to help defeat the nazis. They finally landed on the beach and with his life at risk he started firing at the german defence with soldiers flailing all around him at every moment.
He was sadly shot but survived he had to be taken to the medical boat for 5 hours and at the point it was fine again the allies had won. He then went on to be one of the men to liberate the first german concentration camp and after the war he was given the Medal of Honour by both The British Royal Army and The Military of The United States. He Sadly died on march the 7th 2016 aged 97.
