Website "File size too large"

website rejects all .png despite filesize.

which is stupid.

i understand the file size limitation and why jpg is preferred based on the explanation here

however, my png is 24kb. Half of the limitation. What's the issue? jpg is crap and no matter how you render it in PSD it looks like it.

My CURRENT avatar looks like poopoo, when it COULD look like

(yes, this is only 24kb)
which looks FAR better, less blurry, and less VHS-Tape.
