    How to use Blender3D
    Hey Brawlers,

Today I am going to make a short guide for the program Blender3D! It is similar to C4D but its free, which is why a lot of people use it over cinema 4d. It is fairly simple to use if you know what you are doing. It is hard at first, but you eventually get the hang of it. I should know, I speak from experience. It is used to make 3d models, such as Intros, text, or just a simple render. If you are a motion designer, you would know that you can make intros in blender. An intro consists of maybe a minecraft scene, some text, even a character maybe. It is animated, and that gets done with Blender. In the following guide, you will learn some of the following:

    • How to add text
    • How to add a keyframe
    • How to change text colors
    • How to make a new scene
    • How to make text 3D
    • How to make light for your text, or object
    • How to add music to your project
    • How to add a bevel to your text object

    How to add text
To add a text object, you can look to the left hand side of your blender window. You will notice some tabs, and one of them will be a "create" tab. You can click that tab, and look for the text option. You can click that, and it will create some text for you. To change the word "Text" to something else, you can press the 'TAB' Key on your keyboard, and that will out the text into "Edit" mode. You can also do that by looking at the bottom of the blender window, and change "Object Mode" to "Edit Mode". Then you can hit delete the text by pressing backspace, and Type what you want. Its that easy!

    How to add a keyframe
To add a keyframe to an object, first right click the object you would like to select. Then press 'i' on your keyboard, and a little menu will pop up on your screen. Then you can select the type of keyframe you want to insert. The most common types of keyframes are "Location", "Rotation", and "Scale". There are also mixed options such as "LocRotScale" (this being all 3 of the keyframes together. this is what I normally use when animating the text.). On the bottom of your blender window, next to the small red button, you see 2 keys next to an empty box. You can click that box, and select a keyframe type that you want to use. That way, whenever you press 'i' it will set a keyframe of that type. (example; You want to set a bunch of "scale" keyframes, you can just press 'i' a bunch and it makes it faster then selecting "scale" every time you want to set a keyframe.

    How to change text colors
To change the color of a text object, first right click the text you want to change the color of. Then in the right hand side of your screen, you see a multicolor circle in the little menu, that kinda looks like a BMW logo, but orange and grey. Then press "new". Then under diffuse, click the color, and you can change it to whatever you want. You can also change the specular, but its not necessary.

How to make a new scene
To make a new scene, click the '+' next to "scene". Then a small drop down menu will appear, press "new". Then it brings you to a new scene called "Scene.001". To get back to your original scene, press the little icon with a cylinder, circle, and light, and chose what scene you want to go to. If you did not change the name of the scene, the first scene you make should be titles "Scene".

    How to make text 3D
To make your text object 3D, click the letter "F" on the little toolbar on the right hand side. Then, under "extrude", change that number up slowly. NOTE: making to high of a number can over extrude the text, so try not to pump of that number too much!

How to make a light for your text or objext
To make a light for your text or object, you can go to your create tab, and under "Lamp" select "Hemi". Or, you can press Shift+A, then under Lamp, select "Hemi". Then Rotate the text on the x axis 90 degrees by clicking the hemi, then pressing r+x, then on your keyboard, type 90. then press either enter or left click to confirm the rotation. You can also go into the little globe looking icon of your toolbar, and check "Environmental Lighting", and "Ambient Occlusion". They both look really nice.

How to add music to your project
To add music to your project, click on the little box to the left side of the word "Default" on top of your screen, then go to "Video Editing". It will bring you to a different screen. Then on the bottom of your screen, press "add > sound". The go to where ever you saved the music of sound to, and then click "Add Sound Strip". Its just that quick and easy! Then to get back to the animation you made, press the small box to the left of "Video Editing", and press "Default".

How to add a bevel to your text
To add a bevel to your 3D object, click the little "F" again on your toolbar to the right hand side of your screen, and under "Bevel", turn up the "Depth". You can also clean up the edges up by increasing the "Resolution".

Thanks so much for reading my guide, it really means a lot! It took long to make this, so make sure to rate this post, as it really helps. If you see any mistakes, or would like to know something, make sure to comment below the mistake of what you want to learn. Thanks and have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    ImDualley
