Alright what's going on...

    Hey guys,

    Now as many of you may or may not know, MCWar was updated to be compatible with minecraft v1.7.2. Now In my opinion, I never like minecraft updates because they are too buggy and different in the beginning, and since I only play MCWar, I could care less about the new features. When I got on this morning here are some MAJOR things that must be fixed immediately:
    • The return of respawn at the beginning of a game.
    • THE LAG! There was so much latency lag that it was impossible to play.
    • There is a banner frozen in the top corner that says "Press E for inventory" [Achievement]
    • The server crashed for me and it was a full crash because everyone had to relog.
    Now the main reason I never like updating MC is mainly because I mod minecraft. Many of the mods I use are very helpful in general and without them, minecraft can be frustrating to play. E.X: OptiFine.

    So I just wanted to have the changes to MCWar clarified if they were permanent or just bugs.

    Yeah the achievement up top really made me rage and when I saw that It was 1.7.2 I said to myself that I gonna have to wait months before optifine is compatible and the forge. I didn't have to much lag myself but when I spawn I have 0 FPS so I must turn off my computer and turn it back on which sucks also the nameplates are not colored so don't know if it's a ally coming around the corner or a total dooshbag with the model

    Lol I just went 60-4 on summit with a crappy team and lag. They should fix it though

    1. The frozen achievement banner is a global bug with 1.7.2 servers.
    2. Server colors are now bugged.
    This is mostly because CraftBukkit isn't updated to 1.7.2, only Spigot is, but Spigot isn't as safe as CraftBukkit so there are still lots of bugs in the server.
    Please be patient until CraftBukkit is updated to 1.7.

    I thought they only updated the servers when the plugins were updated.

    I also noticed this, its really annoying, the servers are also down at the moment, I hope they're fixing it.

    yea, it is really annoying that the servers are down. They should just let them by in 1.6.4

    The coders of MPS are pretty good, so they could probably update the plugins to 1.7.2 easily.

    This exactly (except for the fact that I prefer Spigot over Bukkit, but that's besides the point). Most of the bugs that you pointed out our global, not just MPS. There is nothing MPS can do about them until Bukkit or Spigot is updated to a more stable build. As for the spawning glitches and such, these are bugs related to Mc-War, and should be fixed ASAP. The MPS coders are great at what they do, everything should be fixed in a matter of days. Everyone just be patient, and we will get through this :smile:

    I noticed this too. I couldnt see my kdr. I just got optifine for 1.6.4 and of course the nxt day mps is 1.7.2. Well lag, great to see you again. It seems optifine is out dated. :frowning:

    If you haven't already noticed. All servers have now been downgraded to 1.6.4 due to technical issues with the 1.7.2 version. Sorry about the inconvenience.
