This is just my personal way of sheriffing. I do this to allow for more balanced gameplay while still keeping the game safe and legal.

Bases: With the exception of wild grass, I will check each base a maximum of once every time I log on for an hour. Each base, again, gets one check per hour. This is to ensure that 1: I'm not camping the bases and 2: that I can do other stuff than be in bases all the time.
Wildgrass gets checked once every 15 minutes. I think that such an OP drug base specifically for donors should not be easy to use. This is why wild grass gets checked periodically.
Also, if someone gives me a tip that a base is being used, I'll check the base early. But, someone must tell me the base is in use for me to check it.
Again, I do this to make the game fair.

Arrests- I will arrest you if I see anything illegal being done or if you are in an illegal zone. If you're just in the zone, I'll inspect you and judge from there. If you're clean, you walk free. Now, obviously I arrest rouges on sight. If you rob the conductor, I have to book you. But until I see a specific illegal action, there will be no ticket. For example: today, at wild grass base, I encountered @Eso. I told him to freeze, so he and his friend did. I inspected them and they were clean, so I let them go. There was no evidence that they were there to do anything, so I promptly left.

Shooting- I shoot only for 1 reason- if you've shot a sheriff in the last 5 minutes, Ill open fire. That's it. I will never shoot your horse unless you run away on it. There's no reason to. Unless you show yourself to be a threat to me or a fellow sheriff, I refuse to open fire.

    Deaths-
If it comes to the point where I needed to kill you, I will not take anything from the body except illegal items, which I dispose of. I see no need to confiscate something for which I have no use.

Misc- I go by the book for all arrests, doing everything that is needed but only what is needed. This is the logic for my statements above. By setting these guidelines for mysheriffing, I believe that I help create a better relationship between sheriffs and players.

I do this but I kill the horses after I arrest them. This is so they can't get out of jail easy and pull illegal items out of their horses and come right back. They also have to spend 2k on getting a new horse.

Generally I'll inspect the horse too and make the kill judgement based in that. If the horse is clean I'm not gonna screw some poor guy over for 2k

If a player is running (from a rebel base) you can chase them, you just can't shoot at them unless they shot at you.

Shoot their horse. Thats a loose loose situation; I'll have called my horse by then so I'll catch up.

Well, good job. I had no evidence to arrest you so you got off clean. What's fair is fair.
