Stand, protect

Came the order, one year ago..

An idea

The whisper, two years ago...

This door, so important that I didn't need to know what was behind it

So important, I was told this three years ago...

Crushing silence every day

Nothing could be more important four years ago...

This is what I tell myself, time and time again.

My superiors told me, five years ago...

Protect it with your life

My superiors ordered me, six years ago...

Well I am sick

Seven years..

Tired

Eight years tired...

Done standing over my charge

Tell me how many more... Nine years more..

The door is here, ajar now

Years.. Ten years..

A prisoner is here, in this empty room

How many years...
