Why did they think it was a good idea to make a server P2W, especially in this grade. If they make 2.0 just as bad I'm never returning, for sure.

its hard for me to agree to this statement when I can site so many situations of myself and plenty of others outplaying people using overpowered combos with weapons like the Barrett and the dissa.

Hate to say it like this but: if you're at a high enough teir of play the donor spam and isolator use just doesn't affect you as much. Not saying you aren't a good player, I'm just saying that it takes time to learn how to play around these people and it's best to focus on beating them rather than posting a complaint thread

The weird thing is is that war has had all the donor items for a long time yet just now has started to pick up. A couple players purchased items and then a couple others thought hey that looks cool and is really strong. Now it's to the point that newly starting players have a REALLY strong time playing.
I have to agree that the use of donor items (especially ray and mini) have been taking over. Infect is hard unless you work as a team. I'm with you. I've decreased in playing war from 1-3 hours a day to around 10-20 minutes every 1-2 days. I sure hope 2.0 isn't as bad.
    Ok random rant over :stuck_out_tongue:

Donator items were always there. I bought my first donator weapon at level 35. But now I feel like a lot of new people, level 1-5, instantly buy donator items. I think this is because we have reached a time where a lot of people are 40+ and have the good guns, and the new players can't keep up with them.

I agree with everything you just said. Infected is 99% impossible for the zombies unless the zombies are very skilled and have grenades and c4. The ray spam on infected is purely cancerous. The donor weapons in 2.0 should not be p2w. pw2 may get more people to donate, but no youtubers will want to play because it's not fair. THIS IS WHY NO YOUTUBERS PLAY WAR NOW!!!!

A minecraft server is unfortunately not free, therefore if this community (such as Brawl) didn't want his servers to be "dead" (we've got for example what happened with McPvP), it would have to guarantee that it will be able to keep paying the servers hosts as well as the teamspeak server, the coders etc.

In my opinion, this is why players have to pay to as you said win. If you want the servers to remain as long as you want, you will have to pay for it. This is obvious...

The biggest minecraft communities always put on sale different things which you can buy, only to preserve the servers.

But I have to agree with you, it is indeed very unbalanced... For example a player would never nuke or have a good score if he didn't buy scavenger or good guns (crossbow or minigun or Ray-gun).

First of all, I've been playing since late 2013, so im not a new level 15 player complaining. And ofcourse, a server needs donations to stay up, i just dont think this is the way to do it, and if they were to keep selling the current donator weaponsm, nerf them, nerf them alot.

If you nerf them until they are just as good as the normal guns, what is the point of spending money on them? They have to be significantly better then the other guns to make it worth wasting money on.

Money and guns shouldn't be the reason someone win, skill should.

Well from where do you propose the server gets it's money if not through donator weapons. They are easily the most frequently purchased thing in the shop so how would you replace them?
It's one thing to say the server shouldn't be P2W (which it isn't, outside of infect), and a completely other deal to actually provide a solution.

Unfortunately, it looks like they'll be keeping it. You can bring it up with @Totom3 though, he's been doing a great job of listening to suggestions for war 2.0 lately.
The whole "remove infect" thing has been brought up but I'm sure doing it again wouldn't hurt anything

I mean, infect is the only gamemode where donor weapons really are unfair.

Choose whatever gun you want, i just think guns shouldn't be so far apart.
Guns that do alot of damage should be hard to use, guns that dont do alot fo damage should be easy to use.

If the iso and skully were donor weapons, people would be complaining about those too. The donor weapons are really powerful, but there has to be an incentive to donate to the sever. They are made so they are at least slightly better than the regular weapons, but not way too powerful. The ways people use them affect how the general community thinks of them. If people find a new way to use them much more effectively and more people catch on, people will complain because Brawl is P2W. But, ray is clearly just for infect. It is a useless gun in any other gamemode. It takes two shots to kill anyone else that is not a zombie (any gamemode other than infect) in two shots. The ray was recently nerfed for fire rate. It is even more useless to use in other gamemode. Also, the iso and skully are great contenders to use on infect. You can easily survive without the ray. Like Lightweilder said earlier, it takes skill, but it definitely can be done without donor weapons.

Also stated earlier, the server really does need funding from somewhere. Brawl is not a nonprofit business. They need money to pay their devs and keep the server up. They are not going to get paid unless people donate, and people need a good incentive to donate, which means good donor weapons.

I wouldn't say its nonprofit. Fine enough, they call it "donating", but in reality, they are selling a product. So Brawl is indeed a profitable business.
