Rule Clarification: Rogue Timer

    I have been harrassed by sheriffs AFTER my rogue timer expires (cuffed multiple times in town, didn't have any illegal items though).

    When I ask in-game:
    Some sheriffs say they can arrest as long as they have been chasing the player. Some say they can arrest a former rogue within a few minutes of being rogue, just like the rule for Train robberies. Others say that as SOON as rogue expires, the player is safe from arrest as long as they aren't in an illegal location or actively doing something illegal, like fleeing from a sheriff.

    I asked @Lord_Roke in-game, but we were cut off.

    When I WAS Rogue, am NOW not rogue and in town, have NOTHING illegal on me, HOW and WHEN do I know I am safe from arrest?

    Please clarify this rule.

    The Sheriffs can arrest players for being rogue - even if it already ran out - if they were already chasing them. This means the Sheriff was within ~30 blocks of the player, following him closely.
    In the special case you are referring to you TPed to a team HQ and blocked the staircase with a chest so I could not get to you. Because of this I stayed within the 30 blocks range and waited for you to come out. However, soon this issue of blocking staircases will be fixed.
