Don't worry @ZeFazzy I killed him when he rushed into the processor. A hacker that doesn't know that FF with a diamond sword in a closed off room is more dangerous than the carcano he had. He rushed in and died like a fool and then proceeded to mine and then get greeted by the ban hammer of justice.

I avenged all the innocents he had murdered that day. I stepped into the darkness and I came out brighter.

 

@Lord_Roke All jokes aside, there are too many people who hack on Wild West. After reset, when gear takes MUCH longer to get, Hackers can really ruin the experience, wiping out hours of hard work.

Please take steps to lower the amount of hackers, without relying on players being able to Screenshot/Video said hackers before they die.
Every successful hacker means a few more noobs quit or never Subscribe.

Can we please get a stricter NoCheat system, which autobans Fly Hackers and ForceFielders?

 

My version:

There once was a man named ZeFazzy.
He was not lazy, robbed a conductor.
Maybe two,
Maybe three,
or maybe even four.
Went straight for the station, right at the door.
He had a bounty 22k and was loco enough to go to coco.

He arrived and saw a man.
This man was a hacker, flying like an angel
Was not an admin so he knew he was in danger.
This ZeFazzy man ran as fast as he could.
He looked straight into his eye.
But did he die?
Yes he did.
Killed by a hacker.


Now for real, it's good that the hacker got banned, but it is not possible for Brawl to compensate for every single hacking indecent. Also, Brawl can code their own plugins, but it's not easy for everyone making them to keep up with the latest in hacking software. I've seen videos explaining hacks and how they have so many ways to beat the anti-cheat plugins with little loopholes like missing sometimes with killaura. That is just a very basic example, but it goes to show that there will always be ways for people to find a hack that Brawl's anti-cheat systems can't catch.

 

There are plenty of rpg servers that have much better anti-flight/speed security than Wild West uses. I have seen fly hackers fly for dozens of seconds at a time without triggering any sort of NoCheat auto-ban.

At a certain point you have to stop hackers before they ruin someone's day, if you want server growth.

my point is, hackers are a problem. It was a while before anything could be done about the Flying Sheriff Killing Game Ruining Hacker (we waited for Roke to log in). The current method of occasional staff check-ins and player sourced evidence isn't stopping hackers from wrecking hours of people's hard work.
YOU probably lol'd about it because you're a sheriff and don't have to work for items, but for most people being killed by a hacker really turns them off the server.

 

Makes sense when you kill them like 10 times.
