Sheriff Protocol Edits

    So I've been a sheriff for around 2 months now, I'd say I've had enough experience to make a thread like this.
    In this thread I'm going to label a few things I'd like to see changed about the sheriff protocol, I'd only mention something if I really felt like the current rule wasn't good.

    I've gone through SO many situations where people hide on top of that roof. To get there, you either have to block glitch, or use recoil from a Moddel. Sheriffs can do neither. We have to just leave someone, if they are on that roof. I say a sheriffs should give two warnings. The first one asking the player to get off the roof. The second one, asking them more assertively to get off the roof, or the sheriff will open fire.
    If the suspect fails to oblige to both warnings the sheriff should be allowed to kill the suspect on the roof.


    Dropping Illegals

    If a player knows a sheriff is coming, they'll likely store items in a horse and send it to the stables, or just drop the times in a chest or on the ground, so the the inspection finds nothing illegal. According to my previous check with @Lord_Roke, even if we literally see a player drop all their illegal items before we manage to handcuff them, we still cannot ticket for illegal items. I Don't like this, since we still technically witnessed illegal activity.

    You can parkour up there, you know. It's pretty hard but you can.

    Yes, you can. Once, RMST1 saw me up on the roof, and since my drugs were in my horse, all I did was stand there waiting for him to make it up there. He did and cuffed me, but found nothing illegal. It is really hard to parkour up there, as stated before.

    Plus, if they are standing on the side of the roof, you can get on one of the logs on the wall and cuff them.

    You actually can. I have actually gotten up there with a horse, the horse however must have a better than decent jump, otherwise it will be not possible. Horses are one of the only ways to get up there.

    With a horse, but not by normal jumping.

    Show me the blocks you jumped from and onto.

    Roof: Learn to horse parkour.

    Dropping Illegals: You already get the money from the items being dropped, if the person was fast enough to give you that free money, do you really care about also spitefully sending that player to jail?

    I don't parkour up there, I get up there using the trapdoors. RMST1 however, got on the wall of the base and managed to parkour onto the roof without a horse. I don't recall what exact blocks they were but they were on one of the corners facing away from the base.

    If I catch them WITH the illegal items I also ticket them.

    And calling a horse thats minutes away, then waiting there would be sheriff camping.

    The trapdoors involve block glitching.

    So if I kill someone and they go to jail because they have bounty, I can't kill their horse or I violate the rules? Or is that a sheriff rule?

    It doesn't say u can kill the horse of someone who u ticketed.
    it's a sheriff rule

    Oh ok. Thanks for clarifying.

    One thing I would change about tickets is change them so that you can pay them with money in your bank, not your wallet. Almost nobody carries money in their wallet in case they die, in which case the money is lost.

    If a player is at the base, and there is an unresolved sheriff action to do, how can it be camping? Just because it takes you a while to get to the roof, that's still your job. Camping is when there is NO player at the base, and the sheriff still sticks around.

    The answer to the Roof thing is to make it impossible to process on the "unreachable" roof. That is, if you really think the horse parkour is too hard.

    I still think what I said should be allowed. You can't count on the sheriff using a horse to get on.
