What we want need is fancier kill and death animations on all of our PvP servers!!!(0x01)

I'm proposing a system in which a player buys various cosmetic modules which are equippable either in a "kill animation" slot or a "death animation" slot. Essentially, whenever a player kills another player or dies, a customized effect of some kind is played in celebration of their ability to afflict themselves with carpal tunnel playing a video game (or the lack of such ability).

The modules themselves might be divided into two types: effecters and modifiers. An effecter describes an effect to be played, and is limited to one equipped per animation slot. A modifier changes the effect of an effector in some way, and is limited to some higher arbitrary number per slot (or not).

As some examples:

Spoiler: Effecters

Particle explosion: particles fly in all directions
Particle flare: particles fly straight upwards
Spirally thing: particles emit from two points on either side of the player and revolve around the player while rising to the sky
Smite: particles form in a massive bolt coming out of the sky
Rektify: particles spell out "#rekt" in the air for a brief time

Particle type: change the particles used in effects
Particle colour: change the colour of the particles
Particle velocity: change the speed of the animation
Particle density: change how many particles are spawned (to a reasonable point)
