    Brawl Junior Moderator Application:
This is going to be my fourth Junior Moderator application. I have this copied in Google Docs, and have been working on it for quite some time. If you have any questions, PM me please, or ask below.

Have you read over this thread? - Extensively. It was answered many of my questions about the role of a JMod.

What is your in-game name? -
    Glock_Fanatic

Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. -

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? - No. I have logged on to other PC’s before, but I have always cleared password and email off of it.

    How old are you? -
    Fifteen

What timezone are you in? -
    UTC

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - No, I am fluent in English only.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? -
Somewhere around 2011, I was walking around a playground with a friend, and he was describing a game to me, called Minecraft. I had never heard of it, so I took it upon myself to utilize YouTube to look at gameplay, and was instantly entranced. My interest was furthermore extended when I discovered the Pocket Edition of Minecraft.

That lasted me about a month, and soon my dad was plugging in his credit card to purchase a PC edition Minecraft account. I was at first disgusted, because I had no idea what the controls were and what crafting was, then, calming down, began scrolling through Wiki pages. Within two months I had everything in the game (mostly, I suck at redstone) memorized.

Going through YouTube even more, I found videos on a channel about Call of Duty in Minecraft. I was intrigued, and watched a few. Soon, I was on my PC plugging in the IP for the MC-War servers, and was hooked. I eventually discovered the Minestrike and WarZ servers, and tested those out, discovering that I was absolute trash at WarZ along the way. Minestrike became my long-time favorite Brawl gamemode.

My grades around a year later, were beginning to fall, and I quit MC for quite some time. Two years later, I came back, and discovered all of the new changes to War, including Brawl’s merge with McPvP. I then tried out the lobby server, and began to explore. Within months, I had become a War lover, but was friends with very few people. A year plus a break later, WildWest opened, and I began to play that more than War, and i began to become friends with more and more players.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I held an Admin rank on a small server, but all it meant was that I was a glorified moderator. No serious experience there. I recently moderated another small server, and had very few issues with the community there, minus the occasional spam/hacker. Server was called ChaoticMC, which was a prison server. It taught me how to multitask dealing with multiple people at once.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? -
I can provide a steady, dependable moderator that has a basic knowledge of commands and rules, but an advanced knowledge of what is expected from a member of Brawl’s staff team.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? -
No, I have experimented with an X-Ray texture pack before, but found it was near unplayable. I looked for instructions on how to download reach at one point, but was unsuccessful.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - Twice. One was a Brawl ban, fifteen minutes for accidental grenade glitching, another on a hacker’s private server.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - My ability to put my obligations before my wants.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - I can be immature sometimes, and it can show, which a staff member cannot let happen.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? - I am active to, but not past, the point where I can no-life it on weekends, but spend around an hour at least on weekdays.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on? - WildWest and War, but since we have several War moderators, and a new JMod there, I will be putting this application in for WildWest.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? - I can provide an hour past around 7:00 AM in mornings on weekdays, and an hour past 5:00 PM on weekdays, and all day on weekends, but I may be away certain days, as I have obligations that I DO put before gaming.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? -

    Hacking: Permanent ban.

Glitching: 12-Hour ban for first offense, 24 for second, permanent for third.

Illegal Mods: 12 hour ban for first offense, 24 for second, permanent for third.

Advertisement: /prune chat, issue warning for first offense. /prune and 1 hour mute for second.

Disrespect/Flame: Warning for first offense, 1 hour mute for continued offense.

18+/Screamer/Gore Link: /prune chat and mute for one hour.

    Staff Impersonation/”Mini-mod:” Warning.

    DDoS/Death Threats: 12 hour ban.

    Death Wish: 1 hour ban.

Bypassing Chat Filter; Warning for first offense, another warning for second, and 1 hour mute for continued offense.

    Inappropriate Username: 12 hour ban.

Inappropriate Team Name: Ask the owner of said team, if online, to change the name, and report to a higher staff member.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? -

Spamming Unnecessary Content: Ban user from forums for 1 hour, remove spammed posts.

Flame/Rage Post: Warn users, remove any further flame after that. If excessive flaming continues, lock the thread.

Duplicate Thread: Lock for first offense, lock and issue warning for second.

Off-Topic Posts: Warn users to stay on topic, and that further off-topic posts would be removed. If continuous violation occurs, lock the thread.

18+/Gore Avatar/Signature: Issue a warning and alert higher staff.

Lock Requested by Owner via Report: Lock.

Advertising: Edit the post to remove advertised IP/address and lock thread.

    Question has been Answered: Lock.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? -

Background Noise: Ask the user if they can fix the issue, and if they can’t, ask them to set themselves on Push-to-Talk. If they refuse, I would set them on Force Push-To-Talk. If this causes harassment, I will move the user to jail after a warning, and speak with them one-on-one.

    18+/Screamer/Gore Links: 1 day ban.

Name does not match In-Game: Ask the user to set their nickname to match their in-game username, and place them in jail if they refuse and speak with them one-on-one until they consent.

Screaming/Spamming Microphone: Ask the user to stop through mute, and if they refuse, place them in jail and speak with them one-on-one.

Inappropriate Avatar: Ask the user to change their avatar, and notify higher staff.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? -
First, find out what the issue is. You can’t solve an issue without finding out what it is, where it is, and how it works. Second, alert other staff. I would do this through either TeamSpeak, Slack, Skype, Forums, any way possible. Thirdly, keep track of users abusing this glitch if you can. If you can keep track of specific users abusing a game-breaking glitch, then the server will not have to be reset, and that saves developers and Putty a whole lot of time, because instead of resetting an entire section of Brawl and causing a lot of community heartache, you can punish the specific users who abused this glitch.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? -
I have made three, one was when I had just joined the forums, which was a foolish decision on my part. The second was a while after that, when I had thought I had “improved” but really, was no better off than when I had started. The third one was a community opinion one, to see where I was getting, several months after my second application, and was not surprised that it was denied, but was disheartened at the very few comments and reviews I got. I gave up on my dreams of a staff member shortly after that, but since then have regularly worked on this application, and updated it little by little.

What is the date of the last application you submitted? -
    November 25th, 2015.

Do you have a working microphone? -
    Yes

Are you able to record and upload videos? - No :frowning: I had the trial version of Action for a while, but it ran out, and I could never render and upload the videos

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? -

    /prune - Clears chat.

/mute - Mutes a specific user, though I am not good at muting for a specific amount of time.

/ban - Bans a specific user either permanently or, as stated before, I am not very good at, a specific amount of time.

/kick - Forcefully disconnects a user from the server.

Anything else we should know about you? -
Well, I’m fifteen years old, I enjoy hockey. I am Snail’s fan boy, and Evil’s ever faithful servant. I like to play WildWest mainly, though I also spend time on War. I used to play Minestrike when it was still a thing, and I am garbage at building in Creative and Build, and I have pitiful stats on WarZ, but I still find it a good break from other game modes. I referee hockey in the winter time, so that teaches me patience, and a good feeling of what’s right and what’s wrong.

Thank you for taking your time to read this application, and I apologize that the whole thing is in bold :V I copied and pasted my app off of Google Docs. Your thoughts and feelings are valuable, anyone with useful advice or criticism is welcome to comment. Thanks!

    EDIT: Fixed the Bold issue.

Helpful ingame, helpful on teamspeak, decent amount of forum posts and you are mature and active in all 3 areas. I haven't seen you on teamspeak much, but I believe this to be timezones. Good Luck!

Thanks rock! My TS activity is questionable, I admit, as I am not always there. And when I am though, I am either in private channels or AFK. I have some room to improve there, but I am constantly working on it.

Hey Glock_Finatic! Glad to see you applying! (Sorry for such a late reply) Putting our friendship aside, here's what I have to say:

Forums: Though you only have about 270 posts, most of them are contributing to the community, and you've been active recently. +1

TeamSpeak: Almost every time I log into TS, I see you online. However, quite often do I see you in private channels (A bad habit of mine aswell). Try to get out into public channels a little more often. +1

Ingame: This is an easy +1. You're constantly online, very mature, and quite helpful.

Overall, I think you'd do just fine as a JMod. Good luck!
