Fixed Kaya is broken

So, I've seen a number of posts about this, but they all say they were fixed. :/ And this is certainly not fixed.
Me and a friend were trying out a game of trapping, and we created a deep pit, which I then covered with my Kaya blocks. But when someone chased me over it, nothing happened. The simply walked all over it, like it was normal grass.
So I guess thats all I gotta say. We did it twice, just in case it was a random glitch, but the same thing happened.
If it helps, we were using a digger kit to dig the pit.
