I've been thinking for a long time of a new system allowing players to succeed in doing certain achievements concerning the server they are the most active on and is a cause close to their heart. They correspond to in-game objectives per servers. They allow you to track your progression and to take advantage of others.

    Objectives:
I don't want this system to be created in order to give players honorary rights. They will also:

    • Offer new features accessible to all players: Beginner or pro, by playing alone or with friends, they are also made for all activities the server can offer. They involve all types of players.
    • Guide players and give them tangible objectives: Successes may be thought of as missions to fulfill, through a dedicated interface for tracking your progress and organized by servers or level of difficulty.
    • Enhance the diversification of activities on Brawl: Successes will be targeting almost all the servers content and will cheer players to uncover content that has been left out, forgotten or unknown by most players. Successes will also incite players to get involved in a variety of activities instead of always doing the same thing on a server.
    • Enhance difficulty, challenge and risk-taking: Some successes call for lots of organization, training and
fastidiousness. Players will be rewarded for their investment.
    • Organize a global and praiseworthy mechanic: By accentuating risk-taking, knowledge and mastery of the servers (classes/zones/weapons etc.), you will be able to receive rewards that are consistent with your skills.
    How does it work?
This system is very simple: Successes are brought together and sorted by category (zones/classes...). Details of a success allow players to be aware of what they have to do in order to succeed in completing the achievement and what kind of rewards they can win. Owing to a search system, they can also be found quickly.

When you have unlocked a success, you will receive an in-game notification which will appear in the chat. Then, a chest appears in your inventory, this latter is a button linking to the next interface.

Rewards can be redeemed at any moment (even after logging out) and can't be lost.
There are three levels of difficulty per achievements:
    • Discovery Successes: They are in minority and give small rewards. They concern the first use of a game feature (e.g. buying a horse on WildWest).
    • Natural Successes: You're able to complete them by playing normally without any specific effort.
    • Meta Successes: They reward players for completing a group of success (discovering all houses/mines in a zone etc.). These latter may either be easy (if the successes they concern are easy themselves) or hard (if the successes they concern are hard themselves). Meta successes usually require lots of investment and a good knowledge of the server content.
There are many major categories such as:
    • Maps
    • Crafting
    • Events
    • Games played
    • Players killed
    • Flag captured/recovered...
    • Plots/Maps finished
    There may be more.

As I have already covered, successes reward actual in-game knowledge and offer new objectives for players who might get the feeling that they have finished and the server's target become bored little by little. They also help players to rediscover abandoned or forgotten content.

    Rewards:
There are three main types of rewards:
    • In-game money (credits).
    • Cosmetics
    • Titles (thread coming soon about this idea).
My co... counter is the biggest
Indeed, anyone would see an achievement system without a score. For each unlocked success, you will receive success points that will be displayed in the achievement interface. You're also free to compare your score with your friends'.

I will be thinking of success for each server (that wouldn't be hard to do).
    Thanks for reading.
    Algelier.
