Ray Gun issues on the forums

    So let me start with this! Some people on the forums think the Ray gun is a one shot anywhere in the body. This is not true at all! Since it has a giant bullet so it is easier to get a Head shot and one hit someone! It is actually a three or four hit on the body! People complain that the Ray gun is a one shot but it isn't! maybe you should test it for yourself!

    TDM:
    In TDM for the Ray gun it is a three/four shot in the body and a one shot in the head. It takes at least some skill to survive until the player is dead if it is a four hit kill and you have to reload.

    CTF:
    In CTF the ray gun it has the same effects as in TDM.

    FFA:
    In FFA it is usually a two shot but I do not know why that is but you are also able to kill yourself.

    INFECT:
    In INFECT it is like the law only a lot faster. It is a one shot with any shot to the body.

    now you know how the Ray Gun actually works and is not a one shot at all! So please stop complaining about the Ray gun because the skullcrusher and the iso are way more powerful then the Ray gun!

    Wow, I never knew about part of the ray like that, I always thought it was 1 shot to the body, thanks for the info on this. :wink:

    Totally disagree. Rayguns Fire rate and how it is splash damage with a chance of head shot makes it OP. Also in infect, it is a one hit kill even to the ground around them. Generally, people don't notice this because the infects have resistance. TDM makes it OP when you have the ability to spawn camp through small areas. CTF means you can literally tank off 3-7 with spamming splashes of explosions with the raygun. FFA is the only game mode you have that is true. Anyways...This gun is still Over powered in 3/4 game modes you can use it in, no doubt at all.

    oh yyaaa! I knew I was forgetting one mode! I will add infect right now! Anyways if you used the Ray gun lots of the time you will realize that its not that op as everyone thinks.

    I remember using it a month after the contest, it still was very Over powered...

    Reasons its overpowered:
    1. No scope
    2. Possibility of head shots
    3. Splash Damage
    4. Fairly Big Clip
    5. Quick Reload

    It has all thoughts things but iso has some too:

    1. One shot no matter what
    2. Giant range
    3. fast speed

    No... Isolator has a slow reload and its speed is meh :/ I totally disagree. Also the isolators range is the same as the rayguns...

    My personal opinion is to only use the ray gun in the gamemode: infected.
