Going to Prison Vs. Dying Rework

    We all know what happens if you're caught by the sheriff doing illegal things or have illegal stuff. You go to prison. When you come out, you have default items. As if you died. Well, I have a new idea.
    If you quietly surrender and allow yourself to go to prison, you come out and keep your legal items. If you fight the sheriff, they will kill you and you will still go to prison. But, this time, you will have lost everything, and you will be back to the default items.
    It really teaches a lesson about police cooperation.

    That means if your caught by a sheriff by surprise, and you are wearing diamond armour and have illegal guns, all you loose is the illegal guns and get to keep the diamond - Since guns/armour prices have been reduced I feel this would make it too easy. But maybe thats just my opinion.

    How would you surrender though? Would you just let the sheriff cuff you, or would there be a specific way?

    Perhaps while you are handcuffed, you should be given a choice to surrender or not. Right click yes, leftclick no.

    One of the issues at @18kss brought up in game is that someone could go around killing people with a legal weapon so when they got arrested, they'd lose nothing and would respawn with what they had before. What if any weapons used to kill someone who isn't rogue becomes an illegal weapon? This would mean they'd get the (Illegal) tag that the normal illegal weapons had, and when we inspect someone with it then it'd still come up with "This player has illegal items" .etc.

    Other than that, I like this idea. Would mean bandits would have less to lose.
