As most of you probably know, Battlefield 1's beta has been out for 5 days. I've been playing all 5 days, so I'm going to write down my impressions of the game here.

TL;DR: It has several flaws, but it's a pretty fun game. It needs more depth to last though.

A lot of gameplay elements have been changed from previous titles. However, I'm going to be somewhat brief, so I'll only cover the major ones.
The weapons feel satisfying to shoot; it feels like your bullets are ripping into your enemy.
The way they've balanced SMGs is interesting. Basically, they have a high initial accuracy, then a first shot spread multiplier, then a very low spread increase from there. LMGs are similarly balanced, but play much worse because they're balanced differently.
Bolt action sniper rifles feel a little too powerful, but I think it's because of the map design; I'll cover that later.
Tanks are very powerful. That's not a problem, but there are too many tanks in this beta map, and there were too many tanks in the alpha map. Everything else seems fine, although I would say that there are some issues with AA turrets and aircraft.
To be frank, the new Conquest mode is terrible. Deaths do not matter anymore, as they do not impact your team anymore, so medics are pretty useless. It encourages careless play rather than careful play. Players that capture objectives are greatly rewarded; this is the only way to top the scoreboard. Conquest has been turned from a complex, intricate gamemode into a shallow joke of its former self.
Sinai Desert is badly designed. It's very hard to push to different objectives because of the lack of cover (those open areas are dominated by snipers and tanks, and most people just stick to the area around C or D. The E flag is terribly placed on the map; it's so far away most people don't bother with it, it doesn't provide any significant assets, and it doesn't fit with the flow of the map at all.
Rubber banding is a huge issue for me and several other players, although it seems that some people don't have any problems with it. There are also issues with memory leaking and ranking problems, as well as some other legacy bugs. With only 1.5 months before release, this many bugs is disappointing.

But how have you guys been enjoying the beta? Vote in the poll and comment below, it'll be interesting to see the perspective of other players.

I've never experienced Rubber-banding and yes the map is not really that good designed but I still enjoy it (^:

From what I've seen on youtube (because I'm a loser with no semblance of companionship), the map design favors sniping and long-distance play. Infantry-focused gameplay occurs often in the C and D area. However, I do agree about the tanks - the light tank is too overpowered, it moves too quickly, and experienced BF players can easily ravage through enemy positions. The only obstacle to these killstreaks is teamwork, but honestly, the biggest enemy sometimes is your own team.

Basically, I don't think it's particularly useful to judge a game based on its beta.

Infinite warfare won't be so infinite after a year
